Hell's Bells, in case you missed it...

Flathead dumped Butte tonight, 35-20.
I only bring this up because earlier this year over on egriz you told me Butte would beat the Braves.
Grady (former Cat

) really has his crew confident & believing in themselves. Watkins is REALLY improving as their QB & I think this team might be capable of beating anyone in AA (except West, who no one can beat).
Braves ran out to a 29-0 halftime lead; special teams ran back the opening kick of the game for 6, had a big punt return that set up a FG, and also scored a SAFETY ON A BUTTE KICKOFF RETURN! If I had a dollar for every time I'd seen that..... I'd have a dollar! (cue rim shot) Throw in a 90 yard touchdown drive and a 49 yard Hail Mary with under 20 seconds to go and the Braves were in total control.
Salo's kids did come out and score a TD on the opening drive to start the 3rd; Flathead answered to go up 35-7; Butte scored in the 4th, recovered an onside kick, scored again, recovered ANOTHER onside kick, but couldn't score again.
The Brave defensive front is AWESOME. They probably finished with at least 6 sacks tonight and were constantly harassing the Butte QB's. Dan Ogden, Richard Boggs, and Damian Farrier are all kids the Bobcats should be looking at.
The Braves have a great chance now to finish the regular season 7-2; they are @ Sentinel next week and @ Bozeman the week after. The way they're playing right now, I would NOT want to play them in the playoffs (unless I'm Billings West).

I really doubt that the Braves will go 7-2 just from the fact that they are 5-3 right now.

Another brilliant griz fan.
The Braves are currently 5-2 in conference; they lost to Couer D'Alene the first game of the year, but it was obviously non-conference.
In case you didn't know this, AA football teams each play 9 conference games.
It's ok, griz4, go back to your pipe...

Yes, they all play 10, but don't only 9 count toward the postseason?

It is still a loss. That would be like me saying the griz haven't lost yet because Oregon is not in there conference. The fact is that there record is still 5-3

Sorry it's hard for you to grasp the difference between conference & non-conference games, griz4. Those games MIGHT mean something in I-AA COLLEGE football, but they mean nothing in Montana AA football. I was OBVIOUSLY stating the Braves conference record for the purposes of their playoff positioning; the non-conference loss will mean nothing in that regard.
As I said, go back to your pipe; it's obvious that stuff is really helping your ability to grasp things...

I would take a stab the griz4 is from Butte originally or has some other tight connection, like his brother's boss's sister got pregnant by a guy from annaconda that had a dog that's vet was in Butte.

Yes, he did start for 3 years or so for the Griz, but he started out as a Bobcat before Earl "the Pearl" ran him off to Griztown, where he promptly stuffed it up Earl's arse!
Great job Grady!
Just another reason to wonder how in the hell we ever hired Solomonson; come to think of it, if there is still anyone left in the administration that had anything to do with Earl's hiring, they should be fired immediately!
