Roll call - PSU game

Okay, I finally turned my calendar to October and realized that the PSU game is less than two weeks away. I just got my flight and hotel booked for the 15th, so I'm definitely going to be there.
So who else is going to be in town for the game this weekend? Are you guys just buying GA tickets (as I assume from past attendance numbers that we don't need to worry too much about tickets)? For anyone in the know, and based only on PSU's crappy attendance, is there a chance a bunch of us could get together and get our own cool section or box cheap? Just a wild thought -- probably not practical.

Given PGE's 23,000 seating capacity and PSU average fan attendance (between 3 & 5,000), we could bring all the fans from the ISU game and you'd still have a whole section to yourself.

Thats funny. Ill try to be there but I don't know if I'll be able to. I'd like to have an entire section to myself.

I got an email from the alumni department and there is a specific section to request seats in. I can't get to that message from work, but I will get it tonight and let you know.
I will be there. I want to get there Friday night, but that is not likely. I will probably drive up Saturday.

I'm flying in Saturday early afternoon, staying near the stadium that night, and then flying out Sunday afternoon.
My girlfriend isn't making this trip (although I have to give her HUGE props for going to both the Cal Poly and ISU games without complaining a bit -- those were her first two football games ever), so I'll definitely be looking for people to grab some drinks with after the game in the neighborhood.

Yep, still not gay. Although with past girlfriends, I sometimes wished I was. It would have been a lot simpler.
This girl's a sweetheart, though.

Ew, I thought catching Bobcat Fever was just a slogan. I'll double up on the sanitizer next time I'm in Bozeman.

My roomie and I are both going to come up from Eugene for the game. Does anybody know if there is a block of rooms reserved or where a good number of Bobcat Fans are going to be staying, would like to stay in the loop as much as possible.

I'm not sure if there is a place with a block of rooms reserved, but I doubt it. I got a room at the Marriot Portland City Center as well. A lot of the hotels downtown were full (which surprised me -- I wonder if there is a big convention in town or something?) for Saturday night, so I'd start looking right now.
Keep in mind that any hotel near a light rail line, even if it is not in the immediate downtown area, should work, as the light rail runs right to the stadium.

Ok, I am an idiot. I put off making reservations until today and could only find one hotel downtown with rooms available. Even the crappy Days Inn didn't have anything. I like to stay at the Marriott there, but it was full. I ended up finding a room at the Hilton so if anyone else is in need, you might check there first.

Hiltons ok. Rooms small but OK, underground parking, walking distance to the field and the bar everybody goes to forget the name.

I'm in. I'll be with a group of 10 or so at the tailgate. Look for the guy with the MSU hoodie and a two year old girl running circles around him.
We are there in force....
