*game balls*

Post by CelticCat » Sat Oct 01, 2005 8:50 pm

Offense - Justin Domineck - came in for injured Mike Bass and ran for 96 yards and a TD, and was our second leading receiver with 6 catches for 47 yards.

EDIT:
Defense - Nick Marudas: As important as Kings TD was, Maradus had 11 total tackles, a forced fumble, 2 sacks and a breakup (which was rifled right at him... to bad he wasn't looking for it).

Offense: Domineck

Defense: Nick Marudas

Special Teams: Lulay for the 80 yard punt which set up the INT.

Speaking of special teams, Murray IS going to break one sometime this year, mark my words.

WOW! Just got back :D

Game balls:
Defense, Marudas to huge sacks. To bad they ended up being wasted. We did ge a field goal on one, but letting them get a first down late in the game after his second is terrible.

Offense, hard to say. Watching from the stands I would have to say Lulay. Stood tall and delivered the ball. However, I didn't relize that Dominick had over 90 yards. Still I'll give it to Lulay. While not his best, but still pretty good.

All in all a fun and also frustrating game to watch. Our defense had better start defending the run and third and long a lot better. Still those last two ISU possesions did do a damn thing, so I know the defense will get better as the year goes on.

GO CATS!!

I'd have to say Gatewood on offense. He has 9 catches last week and 10 this week. It feels like they could complete a pass to him on just about every play.

Not giving the game ball to Gatewood was a hard decisions, but JD stepped up and played very well in start to injured Mike Bass, and was also responsible for helping Lulay have plenty of time.

On defense Marudas, on offense Jeff Bolton. Allowed #57 Birkland to move back to more comfortable position and helped solidify o line.

Defense: Marudas HANDS DOWN. He played great! Everytime they ran the ball to his side he was there!

Offense: Gatewood. He looked good. Dominick? I don't think so.

SP: Lulay!!!! He should get BSC honors! Two punts at the 2 yard line! That is outstanding. I sure hope my Vikings pick Lulay up as a punter if not a QB!

Also, Bolton did a great job at center. And by great I mean he didn't put the ball on the ground. If we had two or three missed exchanges that game, I don't think we would have won.

I'd say Domineck and Marudas, too. Daly had a great game as did King. How about Lulay for the sp.teams POW.

Offense: JD, with Rick a close second (I've now decided that Gatewoods suspension cost us a win; we WOULD HAVE beaten OSU with Gatewood grabbing quick slants from Travis vs OSU's blitz all day).

Defense: No question; Marudas. Kings play was REALLY made by Kahiam Hunter, who jumped the route perfectly & tipped the ball.

Special Teams: "Co" game balls to Big Red (77 yarder) and Murray, who downed both punts at the 2; the 77 yarder died on its own but Murray was there just in case; the second 2-yard-job was a GREAT play by Murray to knock it back.

Grizzlies: 2-5 when it matters most

I thought it was Gatewood chasing the ISU returnman on the big punt.

Maybe; but the second 2 yarder was still great.

The punt tipped on the locker room end-zone line was tipped by Jevon Miller. A FANTASTIC PLAY.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
