Has anybody heard what the extent of Mac's injury is? Is he out? Kramer said on a coach's show that they wouldn't know until Wednesday or Thursday. Appreciate any insight.

There is a debate as to whether Mac should red shirt or not. His injury is the type that only rest can make it better, and it could be a potentially career ending injury, Bo Knows.

Anyone know when this decision has to be made? Would he need to apply for the medical redshirt now, or can it wait for a few weeks to see how/if his injury improves?

He probably would not take a medical redshirt, he would take his redshirt, he hasn't used it yet, and if there were any more injuries to him then he would apply for medical grey shirts.

I don't think he could take his regular redshirt because he played this season...I thought that once you are in the game for one play, that option goes away. Am I wrong?

It goes away if you start redshirted then play one play

It is easier to get a medical if you play as a true freshman. Mac would get one easy but I heard that he is back in two weeks! Yea!! I got a source.

From what I've heard from fellow footballers is that Mac is hurting but has been lifting and looks like he might be in towards the latter half of the season.

Nobody really knows when Mac will be back due to the type of injury, it's truly day to day

I'm sure Mac is anxious to get back. I just hope he lets it heal well enough so that he doesn't re-injure it from coming back too soon.

Heal well Mac!!

Stick to your griz; leave the Bobcat reporting to Bobcats, OK griz fan?

I visited with Mac for awhile Friday night during the Bobcats easy win over the griz in Shroyer. (more on another thread).

He said the muscle is feeling better every day. He hopes to join the team for practice Tuesday and play vs Weber next Saturday. He thinks the WORST that could happen at this point is that he misses WSU and PSU, gets more rest with the off week, and then is ready to roll for our final 4 games.

He seemed pretty upbeat about everything and I know he'll be pushing the trainers to clear him ASAP; hopefully they make sure he is as ready as possible before giving him the green light.

You can call me a Griz fan, but you really have no idea. So you and Mac pretty tight huh? And you have your M.D. also to assess the injury? Every athlete thinks they can play off of injuries, and this is one, as I said before, is really day to day, and all depends on how it heals, and only time can heal it

I hear he thinks he's ready for the WSU game and says he's going to play, but Kramer says that Daly is playing so well that there's no reason to take a chance. Unless Daly fizzles out, they may try for the med. red-shirt. Daly is playing beyond anyone's imagination though and that's saying something because they knew he was pretty good. I have to believe that Mollohan wants to play with the other seniors and will lobby to do just that.

Yung1Gun... Are you a M.D.? Have you spoke with Mac, his trainer or his doc? Do you know the exact extent of his injury?
I know..... you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

I'm done, I gave this message board a chance, and it appears that there are far too many "know it alls" on this board, and blind Bobcat fans who really have nothing positive to contribute. My guess would be some of you are true MSU fans who support the team week in and week out, and actually are football/sports fans, but it appears there are several fair weather fans, so with that, my two day stint is over.
