Surprised EWU is at #14. They have only one win and that was over a DII school. PSU is just about to break into the top 25. I thought they should have been in after this week, but we need room for Harvard.

I think the Cats opponents are a combined 12-3 overall in record and 2 of those loses are to the Bobcats.

SFA 40 SO UT 17

So I would say holding SFA to 6 (After they have scored 65 and 40 the last 2 weeks) as well as holding NDSU to 17 (after averaging 45+ points a game) is reason to believe our defense is competitive this year (as long as we can get healthier as the season goes on .. banged up right now).

PSU will be in the top 25 if they beat EW this weekend. Could be a good game at EW. PSU's running back Joe Rubin rushed for 356 yards on 47 carries with five touchdowns last week against Northern Colorado.

THis just proves that we can't afford to look past anyone. I think someone said it earlier that anything can happen in the Sky and that is the facts. ISU will be tough, and we need to show up to prove we aren't a fluke.

This coming weeks game is gonna be another GREAT game! Idaho state is not as good as ndsu, but they are damn good! If the cats can approach every game with the same mentality as when they faced NDSU (which is basically looking at each game as make or break), then the cats can beat any team! The more the season goes on the more our offense will click, and our defense can only get better with key players coming back from injury! I've never been more excited for a season, every big sky game is gonna be great!

Watched the ISU coaches show last night. Four of their drives covered 30 yards or less. Very good special teams and EWU made plenty of mistakes, i.e. fumbles and interceptions. EWU had a ton of penalties in the game. ISU primarily ran the ball, only 24 passes! Meyer was sacked 7 times which were mostly coverage sacks. ISU had one fumble where the receiver was ruled down. Larry Lewis said the call was wrong. They later scored on the drive. That was the difference.

Won't be any different than every other game.

Great point. I do not like people talking about winning the conference, playoffs, etc. The key is to take it one week/ one team at a time. The rest will fall into place. Lets not get the cart in front of the horse.

We need to come out fired up again this week. Our players played with a ton of emotion this last weekend as the crowd was ALL BEHIND THEM. We need to keep doing this and be LOUD every play. We have a history of not doing well on homecoming but this is a key game and we must come out and beat our NEMESIS (I know Kramer DOES NOT LIKE ISU).

GO CATS!!

NEMESIS???? I thought Poly was your nemesis, no wait isn't it the griz. Good to know we are the nemesis of the week.

All kidding aside, this should be a good game. I'm looking forward to seeing ISU and MSU on tv, I understand you have a nifty little stadium.

Besides the Griz, ISU it the Big Sky team that Kramer likes to beat the most. He brings that up all the time when trying to get his troops rallied up for this one.

I know that when we played ISU they were our #2 most hated rival. I still hate that school, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

After UM, I hate ISU the most. Seems like dirty play and cheap shots are always prevalent during our games with them. I remember seeing a helmet thrown by an ISU player at Joey Thomas (I think it was at Joey) a few years back.

In basketball its UM then Weber, but for football, its UM then ISU. In fact, when UM goes to Poke-a-fellow next month, if the game doesnt have an impact on our standing in the conference, I'd love to see UM pummel the Bung-holes.

mquast, easy there.

As for being fierce rivals, I'm really not sure. I do know ISU has played MSU more than any other school, so.......... I would say we are familiar with one another.

I wonder why these two schools don't attempt to get a trophy game going. Maybe with a reference to Yellowstone. Anything to bring in the fans. ISU has really struggled to bring in the fans since the loss of our two instate rivals.

I think this would be a great idea, seems like MSU opens conference with ISU every year. I hate ISU, but love (and respect) the rivalry. How many times have we played these guys for our homecoming game in the last 10 years?

Cat Pride,

You know, I seem to remember an indicent a few years back (not exactly sure of the year): this bobcat (don't remember the player) was cursing at a bengal player (don't remember his name), he then ripped off his own shoe and threw it into the stands. Get this, the bobcat player then proceeded to strip naked and run around Holt Arena grabbing his jock and chasing all of the young ladies around.

Sound familiar?

Oh yeah, I heard about that. Didn't he end up making about $150 in small bills that night?

There's a reason you shouldn't make up stories so soon after seeing a Chippendales show!
