Missing Ingrediant?

Is Blake Wolf the missing ingrediant for the offense or is it Gatewood. We seem to really be missing the tight end threat this year. How many times did Lulay check off to Wolf for the big first down. I seem to remember quite a few.

I would like to see the tight end used a bit more and the spead offense used alot more. The no huddle in 4 and 5 wide killed teams. Please disregard the fact we lost a big lead against EWU because we used it too much.

I remember Kramer as saying he didn't like throwing it to the TE as much as he did last year. It just sort of happened.

That being said, as a pass-first pass-second kind of guy, I think TEs are a very underutilized receiving threat in football. Wolf was GREAT last year as a receiving TE, though I couldn't comment on his blocking skills because I didn't pay attention to them. I loved seeing him drag 2-3 guys 10 yards down the middle of the field after a big gain.

We need to get SOMETHING from our TEs, whether it be efficient blocking or good receiving. So far, we haven't gotten either. But they are all freshman, am I correct? Maybe a sophmore at best.

How many times has Lulay thrown to a te? Not too many. Those te's may be young, but I think that they will come into their own. I hope.

I think in Kramer's mind throwing to the TE is a sign that the running game isn't working. I hope he simply doesn't want to throw to the TE. I'd think a coach would want to use any weapon at his disposal.
