Time for the fans to step it up...

I heard that the Griz fans started booing their own team on Sat. because they didn’t beat SDSU by enough points. It reminded me of a couple games last year where the Cats weren’t playing well and I heard a few negative comments directed towards our guys. That is complete B.S. and I hope it doesn’t happen this year. Hopefully everybody that reads this board will help get that stadium rocking on Saturday. I think the Cats really need the 12th man for this one – I’ll be doing my part…

Actually it was one small lapse in frustration management. 3rd and 15 and they throw a 9 yard pass. Folks just seemed frustrated with the play call, not the players.

Come on, Victor, give me a break. There were boos coming from numerous areas of the stadium, in many different instances. Nice try at spin control, but we know better.

I was listening on the radio to the griz game booooing. You might have been able to hear me. Wait a minute, I was laughing at all of the incompletions on big plays. But I did hear boos in the stands over the radio.
ps. Gurnsey was at his best. But I did hear him say that the griz did get away with a pass interference in the endzone at the end of the game.

It's hard to say anything about people in the stands bad mouthing our team last year when after last weeks game there were people all over this board just ripping on what happened how specific people suck. Teams have bad games, coaches have bad games. The fact of the matter is we need to go and cheer our brains out if we are up 20 or down 20.

There were people all over this board venting frustration on how we played and possible solutions on how we could play better. How is that ripping the team/players? This is a forum to talk about MSU and football and if they have a bad game of course we are going to critique certain parts of the game? What do you think die hard fans are going to do? This board is not a sugarcoater board and never have I heard anyone constantly ripping on players (24-36 hours after a bad loss like that). I have never booed a Bobcat player in my lifetime and I never will. Football is too complex/too many random variables to even think that you can control every outcome of the game (even with a steller team) to even contemplate blaming the players for everything. To tell you the truth, if I had been a Griz fan I would have been more mad at the crowd than at the players after that SDSU game. Yeah, there will be a call or two you don't like once in a while, but that is football. I bet 3/4 of that stadium was booing for at least half that game last week which if I was a Griz fan I would have been ebmarrassed (especially knowing they have a rookie QB and new WR's etc.). Football offenses take time to gel/adjust/get better. 11 players trying to be in sync at the same time while 11 other players trying to bash their head.
That being said, I want to hear our stadium rocking this weekend. Propelling our CATS to the big win!!!

I might make it to the game....but I don't have any blue either. But, I don't mind wearing maroon. Of course I'll be supporting the Montana boys. I'm actually just as worried about getting grief from Bison fans as Bobcat fans....at least I can say 'scoreboard' to the 'Cat fans.

JAQUR AND SPORTIN' LIFE,
No need to worry fellas, they're selling blue shirts for the game for $10. I'm sure they'll take that ugly red in as trade!

One request - if any Griz fans go to the game, please don't come home and cry to mommy. I'm sick of hearing Bronco and 62griz's constant belittling of the fan behavior at MSU.

Wear your blue, be proud and especially LOUD!!! Get crazy loud when the Bison are on offense and then quite while the Cats have the ball. If I don't lose my voice by the end of this game, I won't have done my job! Good luck to the Bison may this be the restart of a special rivalry.
GO CATS!!!

It sounds like you are characterizing all Griz fans on the basis of what a couple have done....
Ironic.

Just a simple request, no irony. Just tired of certain griz fans badmouthing the entire fanbase, just doing my part to make sure no more of these types show up.
I always welcome griz fans and any other opposing team fans. I treat people with respect until they prove otherwise.

That's cool...whiners are never any fun...
As for me I'm not worried because even though I'll be wearing the glorious maroon and silver, my fiancee has enough ugly blue and gold clothes to bedeck an army. Anyways, I am expecting a good time and I am expecting to get my share of good natured abuse. I wouldn't go if I was expecting to have a bad time and whine about it.

Touche CARDIAC CAT...I just got frustrated with some of the pointed criticism. Yes true fans due critique...I do it all the time, but some of the criticism was very harsh and biting and college athletes don't deserve that type of smack just as much as they don't deserve to be booed at home.
