FORCE AT LB?

Assuming Mac is out, I am wondering if Kramer will ponder even moving Ryan Force up to fill his spot. He is about same size as Mollohan and a very good tackler. Just curious as we do have some depth in the secondary too I think? Force would also know the defensive sets/lineups as well I would think. Kramer said he can play every position :)

I know we have pretty good depth at LB, but just in case down the road if this isn't working out I am just curious if Kramer would even think about maybe moving him in there? Might be a decent fit?

Wow!! I like that idea. From what I've been hearing we do have some good talent at Safety behind Force (who's the boise state transfer?).

This could be an excellent solution.

Big Human are you out there?!?

Mike Woodberry played safety before Kramer moved him to LB, and Woody played very well at the LB position…

There ya have it! Problem solved. That dude from Boise St. seems like the guy to go with. As Ben Stiller said while playing Starsky, who was posing as a Jewish mafia guy, "Do it."

They could also move Fuller to safety and bring in either Austin or Davis (the NMSU transfer who should be ready to go soon) to play CB opposite Hunter...

Good job coaches. I'm glad we've got this problem solved. Way to think outside the box. Now, what time are we meeting for film today? :)

Sounds fun, but for some reason I don't think it will happen. Force is good size (200+ lbs) and one of the strongest guys on the team, but ....

More likely is Elliott, Daly or Mania (in that order filling the spot). At least for this game

With SDSU also running more, they could play more of a 3-5 type defense where Force plays up more and is more like a 5th LB (that way).

The Boise Transfer is Le Blanc and I think we will be seeing more and more of him. From my understanding, he does like to hit a ton, which does lend credence to your thoughts of moving Force up.

Will be fun to see.

I assume you meant NDSU. :)

I think Daly will be the best fit, or possibly Gathing. Gathing is a big guy and would be able to read runs fairly well I would imagine.

Reason I didn't list Gathering is he is more of an outside (edge) type LB than and inside type guy.

That is the same reason I listed Elliott as my first choice for a replacement, then followed by Daly. They are inside type guys.

However, I do like Gathering as a player and would like to see him see the field a little more.

(and thanks, did mean NDSU, just typing to fast I guess).

or another idea is we could goto a 43-34-46 type of d

Since NDSU is primarily a running team put two big O-Lineman at LB. I recommend Smith and DeCock. All that beef should stop the run.

If we put Force at LB, we could put Gazzerro at S. Or we could just put Gazzerro at LB, which is where he played in high school.

I'm not sure if Gazzerro is in the mix for either position. LeBlanc is a stud in waiting at Safety. And there are a hand full of very good LBs that actually preclude any need for Gazzerro to return to his high school days. I think he can enjoy his Red-Shirt year and be ready in the future (possibly after Force and Le Blanc leave after next year.

He's a little on the light side (at 185) to play middle LB as a true Freshman.

I think NDSU would love to see Gazzerro play MLB against them.
