Cal Poly slaughters the cats, ndsu spanks weber, griz barely get by sdsu, etc.... what the heck is fullerton's phobia with some of these schools? what is their record against big sky teams? it has to be better than .500. ndsu has a three game win streak against the big sky! this conference is catching up to, and soon to pass the big sky. time to get over the "travel" excuse and invite some of them.
i had a bad feeling about the cal poly game earlier in the week, we always have some problem with them, just like sac, for whatever reason.

Not to mention UC Davis with their big win over Stanford. EWU still has to play at Cal-Poly and also has to play UC Davis...yikes!

Big Sky 4 Great West 3, with 8 games remaining. What is everyone so worked up about, since when is the Great West the measuring stick?
It is still early, the Big Sky will be just fine.

What is Fullerton's problem with traveling? If you want national exposure and play with the big boys YOU NEED TO TRAVEL.

It is primarily the coast teams of portland and Sac State that don't like the travel with not having direct connections.

Then it looks like Portland and Sac State will miss out on some great competition. Speaking of lack of exposure, how are Portland and Sac State doing this year?

Portland State beat UC Davis and Sac State. They lost to Oregon State I believe. Based on their win over Davis I'd they're for real-probably the Big Sky dark horse this season.

Overall the Great West leads the Big Sky in games played all time.
Great West 11 - Big Sky 10
Of those games 7 have been played at Great West school's home fileds and 14 games have been played at Big Sky school's home fields.
So far this season the Big Sky leads 4-3.

Other than Cal Poly and Northern Colorado, are there any other Great West teams playoff eligible this year? What is the timetable for all teams being eligible (and I know, we took Northern Colorado effective next year). I suspect the musical chair conference affiliation begins as soon as all members are playoff eligible.

Northern Colorado is not playoff eligible right now, will be in 2007 I believe. The only teams that are playoff eligible in the Great West are Cal Poly and Southern Utah. I believe NDSU and SDSU are playoff eligible in 2008, not sure about UC Davis. Great West fans, can you verify my dates?

UD-Davis & UNC in 2007, NDSU & SDSU in 2008, SUU and Cal-Poly are playoff eligible.

Rabbit -- I assume this only includes games that have been played between member schools since the Great West has existed as a conference, correct? (As opposed to historical records between member schools of the conferences.)

Thank you. My bad. I forgot SUU played as an independent for all those years.

You are correct.
