Optimistic Thoughts

Here is a very optimistic thought. Probably not reasonable but it helped me get over the loss.
We really did not get beat that bad. You could take away the interception and the fumble in the endzone and the halftime score would be 7-14. Not that bad. Those two things wouldn't happen every game. If you really want to get crazy you could not give them 30 yrds in penalties from 2 suspect PI calls which led to another 7 pts. Then your half score would be 7-7. Their O only really scored 7 in the fist half.
The second half they scored only ten points. We hit a field goal and would have had 2 more if we didn't feel we had to go for it because of the big lead. My super optimistic Final score CP 17 - MSU 16.
We were only out gained by like 97 yrds in reality. With some better adjustments on picking up the constant blitz and exploting it we would have been in this game big time.
Lastly we played against two offensive and defensive styles of play that we never see and thus have no way to figure it out. (who is at fault on figuring them out i won't speculate) But we seem to play pretty good against conventional teams which the rest of our schedual will be. Lets hope other teams just don't use CP's blueprint to beat us.
Did the Gizz beat us last year because they got tons of pressure on Lulay and Bailey couldn't figure out how to exploit it?????? Cause Cal Poly did!!!!!!!!
