Everybody in North Dakota is fired up for Next Saturday. If you guys are underdogs it doesnt look like it from here. We have Cal poly on our conference schedule at their house later in the season. Next weeks game will provide us with a measure of our competitiveness in what is turning out to be a collection of football powerhouses. UCD downs Stanford last night, NDSU rolls, UNC (too bad they are leaving) has a great afternoon. Southern Utah drops a game and SDSU puts a scare on a great Griz team and in the process reveal themselves as a talented bunch capable of playing with the best in the country.

We are coming to visit the Bobcat Nation with anticipation and respect. Bisonville will come to play and party and in the process renew a great old rivalry! Good luck to both teams next week.

NDSU BISON by 1.

The biggest threat to NDSU right now would be a let down coming off these wins.

I just hope our players have more faith in themselves than the fans do, because if they show up at Bobcat Stadium hoping they win but thinking NDSU is probably better, we don't have a chance.

I know that this group of kids can put together a game, offensively and defensively, that sends the Bison home wondering if they really are all that good... (sound familiar??? kind of like Cal Poly did to us).

If they come in with an attitude and some confidence, I like our chances over anyone - including a rematch with Cal Poly. I believe they will. I picked em to win and I'd put my money where my mouth is.

That is why we have Coach Bohl. He takes every opponent just as serious as the next, and instills that philosophy into every one of his players. You never know who is going to have an outstanding day, it just might be the opposing team, even if they are huge underdogs, which MSU isn't even close to that. I thought MSU would come out on top of Cal Poly yesturday, but CP was the one that showed up to play. There will be no slacking in practice this week I can garrantee you that.

I think the biggest thing the cats need to be concerned with is developing some sort of running game to reduce pressure on Lulay. Cal Poly showed that if the run is shut down, Lulay will make some mistakes like any other human QB. An interresting stat about the NDSU defense- It has outscored opposing offenses 3 touchdowns to 2. So far the NDSU offense has been more of a novely factor than anything, as defense and special teams have made enough points all by themselves to win the game.

Hopefully MSU can bounce back this week and bring some serious competition on Saturday.

NDSU is giving up 110 yds/game on the ground.

The BISON are giving up 115 yds/game in the air.

NDSU is avg over 45 pts/game and giving up just under 5.

The BISON are a balanced team avg 370 yds/game almost equally balanced between pass and run.

The BISON are over 40% on third dwn conversions.

How does that compare?

I didn't make a prediction about last weeks game because I had a very bad feeling about it. This week, I think that we come back and play like champions. MSU by 3 TD's!!!

Gamehunter's previous post above gave me a serious case of the giggles... "Hopefully MSU can bounce back this week and bring some serious competition on Saturday". If the Bizin' Uprizin' think they are going to bring their Beginner's Luck at the IAA level to the BOCATNATION and have a walk, Bring Your Lunch!

I've had this game circled since our schedule came out. There's something that just feels right about renewing this rivalry--now we need our North Dakota jokes to get our spirits going again  Once more, I nominate Mr. Quast to get a thread going. Hope all the visitors from the East have a good time and bring plenty of your ag products (especially those in liquid form  See ya'll Saturday.

State will rebound. 'Cats by 3 TDs.

 Advantage MSU Bobcats. No way Lulay has 3 miserable games in a row. Home field was big last week and will be major this week and the addition to the receiving corps is huge after that miserable trip. Offense gave up three TDs last week and the fumbled snaps should go away forever.

I seem to recall that our great 2002/2003 defensive teams also gave up some points/lost to Cal Poly as well so this team I think just does not play well against the option (maybe how they are built not sure??). We need to throw this game out. No excuses, Cal Poly kicked our butt. There are many teams in the NFL/College that have bad games and get their butt's kicked only to rebound the next week/season. We need to get up to NDSU and BE THERE and BE LOUD this weekend. We can beat this team if we play well. We get Gatewood back and that should make it MUCH harder to defend us. We have a balanced offense and will spread the field this week. Best defense is a very good/balanced offense.

Lets kick some butt CATS!

It's over and done with  We still need some tight ends or we're never going to be able to run the ball!

I think the cats will be too much for NDSU. Being at home, after that troubling loss, the cat should be hungry and pissed.

NDSU, however, will be looking to show they are deserving of their ranking. They will be fired up to play against possibly the most talented BSC team.

Though after what I saw against Cal Poly, I might have to re-think what BSC team has the most talent.

Remember last year and that huge win over NAU only to roll over against Sac State with the offense not showing up. We are playing good teams and at this level you cannot have a down week or you are going to fall. Yea we played well on the road at OSU but we had all off season to play. The unconventional styles that Cal Poly use are tough to adjust to in one week. It should not be our priority even though we lose to them. We need to build our team and practice around the conference schedule. We will bounce back against a more conventional team even though they are very good.
