I can't remember if I heard...

MX7 and I were wondering as we listened during the game if we even tried to go deep on the OSU defense.

Sometimes it's hard to tell on the radio, and I know that Lulay had virtually no time in the pocket, but Chris even commented during the game that the OSU DB's were not respecting the deep routes.

I seem to remember that Murray and Miller were supposed to be pretty speedy downfield.

Regardless, I'm pretty certain we will see one or two or 20 deep balls this Saturday.

I don't remember a deep attempt at all. It would have had to have been after a scramble though with all the pressure Lulay was under. There really wasn't time to let a deep bomb develop.

The first play of the game was a medium deep crossing pattern that was wide open to the left side of the field. Lulay over threw it because he had no time and had to rush the pass.

That was the only deepish pattern thrown to because of the time. On most pass plays there is someone going deep but Lulay just didn't have the time to wait.

Bailey did a good job calling short passes.
