A poster named Rob on the I-AA anygivensaturday.com message board has compiled a listing of high school players that have shown interest in I-AA schools. All of the Big Sky schools are listed with at least one player with the exception of Sac St. and Weber. He lists three for Montana State:
Montana State
QB Ben Widmyer - 6-0/197/4.57 - Coeur D Alene, ID (Lake City HS) - Air Force, Duke, Navy
S Sean Houston - 6-0/193/4.80 - Covina, CA (Northview HS) - Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon
WR Jaron Taylor - 6-0/180/4.50 - Olympia, WA (Timberline) - Montana, Idaho State, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Washington State
Check out the complete list here:

A long ways off, but we have to have something to talk about during the offseason.

A 6' 200lb quarterback that runs a 4.57 40? That's pretty impressive, I wonder if he has an arm.

He sounds pretty good. One recruiting site lists him as an athletic style quarterback. Insiders has him as a one star prospect with medium interest in MSU, Navy, Air Force and Duke.

This is the bio info from insiders:
All League and All North Idaho as a junior ... 156-239 for 2130 yards (65.3%) and 16 touchdowns in 2003 ... also rushed for 545 yards on 73 carries(7.5avg) for 10 touchdowns ...

Actually all prospects on TheInsiders and Rivals are shown as one-star recruits right now because they haven't done their ratings yet.

If any of you guys happen to see any info on MSU recruits in the paper or anything, you can shoot me an e-mail at robmcf14@juno.com. The full list of I-AA recruits can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/iaarob/2005recruits.html
I'm hoping to have a comprehensive list of all I-AA schools by the time signing day rolls around next year, including more detailed info on the top recruits. We'll have to see how it goes.

Welcome to the BobcatNation Rob. Thanks for putting that list togethor as it is cool to see all of the I-AA stuff in one place like that. We will be sure to keep you in mind when we hear things about possible recruits and such around here.
