My prayers go out to this player and his family and I hope he makes a speedy and full recovery. The story mentions that ISU coach Drew Miller (former Griz QB) has been staying with Andrew and his family back in Flagstaff while he recovers.

Mods: This may be more appropriate for the College Forum. I just had the game this weekend on my mind and posted it here. Feel free to move it if necessary.

More like a Standing O. This kid's not dead.

Definately, a Standing O would be very appropriate.

Hopefully an update can be given over the PA system prior to kickoff.

Good news! It looks like nothing real serious (trust me, I'm not downplaying any spinal cord injury) and he should fully recover.

All good signs on the update, but a long road ahead. Best wishes, and my family's prayers are with you Andrew.

Looks like he comes from a football family, a cousin playing for Fresno State.

I agree with BN posters, sure would be a class act if we payed tribute to this young man at the game in Bozeman somehow.

Not to derail this thread, but it reminded me that Will Holden did a story on Zack McLeod a while back -- for those of you who know Pat or Mike McLeod, both played for the Cats back in the day, Zack is Pat's son who just might have suited up for the Bobcats like his dad, uncle, and grandad did, but suffered a brain injury playing HS ball in the Boston area last year. My 7-yr old son prays for Zack almost every night before bedtime, and I'm not sure who inspires me more -- Pat & Tammy, Zack, or my son, but that's all good. Zack's racked up nearly 200,000 visits on his caring bridge site:

I don't remember ever knowing a stronger, more loving family than Pat & Tammy's, and to me they represent the best of humanity, and the best of Bobcat spirit, especially through these kind of times in life. (btw - Pat could catch a frozen ball with one hand 5 yds overthrown!)

Thanks for posting that JDoub. I had not heard about that. My family and I will keep Zack in our thoughts as well. And kudos to your son. Sounds like a fine young man. =D^

It's a little late in the conversation, but I'd like to send my best wishes to Andrew and his family. It would be great if we (as the crowd) recognize his efforts in recovery today.

Since I'll be about 600 miles away at game time here's my feeble attempt at acknowledging the young man and hoping for a speedy recovery.
