Weber loses on a goal line stand.

Really stupid call to go for it on 4th and goal. Kick the FG and play defense...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

That is on the same level as the Coach Carrol’s pass play on the goal line against the pats in the freaking Super Bowl.

Profoundly idiotic. Take the points.

Mcneese v SFA. McDowell v Vidlak. Cowboys score 14 straight to win it but McDowell gets unsportsmanlike penalties on both TD’s. Ejected. Stupid McNupid penalties. Selfishness may probably have lead to him entering the portal at the coaches request.

Saw the one that got the DQ. He ran for game winning TD and threw his helmet about 40 feet.

That's funny, do you know what McDowell did exactly to get the 2 penalties?
didn't watch but one comment was he kicked someones helmet with someone in it.
both were on td's and McD got the unsportsmanship after the td.

so i went and watched it. mcDik scored a td and he jerked helmet off the head of SFA defender in the end zone. then he walked over to the helmet and kicked it a few times. that drew the first unsportsmanship flag.

the second one came after he scored with 37 secs left in the game after he ran the td in and tossed the ball into the air.

On the first TD, they ran QB Draw. As he was tackled in the scrum went he went down, McDowell had a hold of a SFA players face mask. The helmet went flying across the endzone. McDowell jumped up excited, saw the helmet and raced over to it and acted like a soccer player dribbling the helmet like a soccer ball. A penalty on the extra point lead to McNeese kicking off from the 10yrs r line

On the 2nd TD they ran QB draw again. This time Mcdowells helmet was ripped off as he was tackled. He jumped up in exuberance and launched the ball into the sky.

If Mellot, Prukop, Lulay, McGhee, Vernon Adam’s, Davey Dick or any QB had done it, we all would’ve said F’n IDIOT.

Not FCS but New Mexico is moving ball all over against Auburn but too many penalties and turnovers.
UNM's defense continues to let it down. Auburn won 45-19. Was 31-19 in fourth quarter. Auburn 503 in total offense to 448 for UNM. MSU stacks up pretty well, statistically, with Auburn, which doesn't look particularly good this year after losing to Cal (3-0) at home. Arizona, which was a top 25 team but might drop out this week, had a better game offensively, but MSU was just 0.1 behind them on defense.

UNM's offense per play:
vs MSU - 6.0
at AZ - 5.9
at Auburn - 6.4.

UNM's defense per play:
vs MSU - 7.2
at AZ - 11.0
at Auburn - 7.6

MSU had the same differential as Auburn (+1.2). The two Strip6s drag MSU's offensive numbers down a little bit (7.4?) and MSU was on the road, while AZ and Auburn were both at home. That's just a statistical analysis of offense/defense and there's a lot more to it than stats for just those two components. Plus, the two Strip6s skew the stats.

I'd do something with Utah Tech and Maine, too, but those games had so much time with starters out. Could split out first half for MSU vs Maine opponents, or first 3 quarters of MSU vs Utah Tech, I guess.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

And both of those teams had film. UNM just doesn't have depth yet. They stay in it first half but their 2nd halves have not been good.

Did the griz ever pull their starters? Didn't watch the game, just saw the final score.
Also, does a shutout against a glorified high school team add anything to playoff considerations later in the season? Just heard that Morningwhig made some comment about that and wondered.
