Wasn't sure where to post this. I'll be rolling into town about 6 on Thursday night and was wondering where I might be able to park and not walk a mile. Haven't been to town in a couple years so not sure what's what over there anymore.

Maybe the MSU police station lot? Specs is always my go-to, but I'm a drunk and that's also too late to find a spot at Specs

If you are ok with paying there are several lots/fields that people charge $5 to park there, up and down Kagy. I am always hell-bent on not paying to park and then get frustrated after a couple of laps and break down and pay for those.

We haven't had too much luck at the MSU police station lot, and are usually early enough to get in the lot adjacent to the tennis courts. I'm thinking the parking garage is probably public parking on weekends since it was built to replace the parking that would be lost with the new engineering building - but this is not a weekend. Does anyone have any clarification on the parking garage?

The majority (maybe all of) the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the garage are sold as reserved spots I believe and are reserved up through 8pm on weekdays so that isn’t going to work for this game. The rest of the garage that is hourly parking will likely be taken up by students until around 5 or later I would bet.

Home Football Opener on Thursday!
The MSU Bobcats will host Western Illinois for the home opener on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Kick-off will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday's game will have several important impacts on parking.
Kagy will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The detour around Grant Street will be extremely congested. We suggest an alternate route.
Stadium Parking Lots
• The East and West Stadium parking lots will close to commuters at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, and reopen on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 6:00 a.m.
• F permit holders may park in any SB lot Thursday, August 30, 2018, only.
South Fieldhouse Lot
• The southernmost parking bay (along Kagy) in the South Fieldhouse lot will close at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, and reopen on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 6:00 a.m.
• All parking bays in the South Fieldhouse lot will close at noon on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
• All vehicles must be out of the South Fieldhouse lot no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
The fourth floor of the Garage will be available as overflow parking for SB and F commuters on Thursday, August 30, 2018, only.
Parking demand will be extremely high. We urge you to consider walking, biking, carpooling, or using the Streamline bus system.
To find carpools, consider using www.bozemancommute.org, where you can also log your trips and see how much you can save by walking, biking, taking the bus, or sharing rides to work.
