they were up in the suites behind the fans, we were turned around waving at them and they had THUNDER the MASCOT up there to do the specific cheer at the next stoppage of play
its called a marketing department and they gotta do what they are scheduled to do...
not 1 bison fan was cheering for a hurt player.
I think you’re missing the point here…
I haven’t seen one person imply the Bison fans were cheering FOR an injured player.
The whole issue here is that it is a complete lack of awareness or worse, lack of respect, to get the crowd amped up and a cheer going when there is a break in the action due to an injury and that player is still down on the field. That’s it. Not really much of an argument for it.

the suites are way up off the field Trey and NFL buddies honestly had no idea about the injury when someone taps them and says cheer with thunder.
this is much ado about nothing like the Trash Can tip.
NDSU fans in general are fine, we've been here done that so many times its getting boring. sure 5% or so might get out of line, but back in 2011 that number was much bigger dam kids! we fat and old now.

I saw this on the FaceSpace this morning from a SOTW member:
"Now that I'm home and rested up, I just want to take a second to Express how disappointed I am on this trip to Frisco Texas for the NCAA FCS Championship game. Not that we didn't take home the trophy, but on how the winning team acted. I get to celebrate the victory, but what they did was over the top.
The North Dakota State Bisons raided our space at the game after claiming their victory, they stormed us, pushing us band members around, yelling and cursing at our faces, surrounding our drum majors. Causing so much ****** to even break someone's glasses..... Uncalled for and should have actions. Like I understand claiming that victory, and taking pride in it I do, as we took our loss with an understanding and calm approach as a team.... But their football team should have NEVER BEEN UP WITH US. THE SECURITY SHOULD HAVE NEVER LET THEM UP THOSE STAIRS. It wasn't safe, none of us were safe from being harassed and pushed around. We shouldn't be told to just run, go to the buses..... It's just not right. As a member of the Spirit of the West Marching Band I have never experienced this feeling, this level of unprofessionalism from games.
Of course this wasn't broadcast, and many would see it as "celebration" but to me, this story should be spread. At Montana State, we take pride in our band and our members. We have never encouraged poor sportsmanship during games. We are there to support our team! We should never have to encounter that kind of action..."

Thank you for posting this. Maybe lakesbison will tell us it was just a marketing tactic. The fact that any fan would even defend such actions is telling of the person.

1000%. I get they are clearly the best FCS team ever, but the arrogance of their fans, players and coaching staff is disgusting. Everyone wants what they have, and they know it. Maybe that goes with winning though. I’m starting to think that our fan base is like that with the Mony Mony cheer. That’s a Brawl of the Wild song. We look so dumb chanting that to a program like that.
I definitely dislike the Buffalo more than the Gris now… they have been the main force stopping us from winning a National Title as of the past 6 years or so.
On the subject of Mony Mony… I do love a good ESG GCG chant but to be honest this is such a universal chant that it really needs to be used as such from our fan base. We do look like idiots chanting ESG GCG in a National Title game, we can be better Bobcat Nation! I know I’ll be spreading the word with my friends, family, and folks around me at the game to change the chant to match our opponent. For instance, for our home opener against SDSU in 25, Eat $h*t Jacks Go Cats Go! Is still a great chant and plays into the epic tune of Mony Mony

During the prowl was maybe the most embarrassing moment. NDSU players walked by first and our fans start chanting ESB GCG!! You could tell by the players reaction that it was game on. I’m saying, we are a better fan base than always using this chant. Save it for the Brawl and only the Brawl.
Punters are people too!!

Most were chanting griz, not bison. I was on the other (west) side and it was clear. And it made me shake my head in embarrassment.

Must have been a mixed bag. I was in the endzone and the people around me were all clearly saying bison.

It was a mix for sure. But unfortunately "griz" was coming through a bit more.
I know most people just chant what they have memorized but i sure wish they'd be a little smarter about it.

The thing i didn't like about the bison was after the game they didn't meet the Cats at midfield to shake hands, etc. They snubbed us and ran for the NEZ to collect their trophy.
Even Colter called it "bush league" on his radio show yesterday.

I’m getting tired of seeing people say the Bison are a dirty team. They are very, very physical, but they aren’t dirty. Football wasn’t meant to played soft.
Anyways, while I’m sick of them, I don’t dislike them like I do UM. If anything, I respect the heck out of that program.
They got 2 personal fouls after the whistle and could have had at least 5 more that I saw. They hit Tommy late multiple times with no calls. They nearly took Taco's head off with no-call.
They are obviously coached just like the Griz to push the envelope and see what they can get away with and try and get in the other team's head.
You could see that when they wouldn't get off the field before the game started. The PA announcer asked the teams to clear the field at least twice and Cam and the receivers stayed out throwing long passes into the NW corner of the field long after the Cats we're already in the lockerroom.

Win or lose against the griz and most players meet on the field and shake hands, ( if they can).
#74 for the byzass was the only player that even did. One player. FTB players, and their coaches for the no class move.
Glad you and Colter agree on this.
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.

Agreed.
How do you not shake the other teams hand?!
There was only 1 NDSU player that I saw do it- one of the big OL guys. He made a point to go seek out some of the bobcat players. He was literally the only one. Every other NDSU guy sprinted straight to the stage, taking out the band on their way.
