Holy smokes… that’s a great qb battle right there. Chance seems to remind me of Prukop the way he scampers. This River guy looks awesome too!!

I see that former NAU QB RJ Martinez is in the portal yet again. He played for Baylor in 2023 and Texas State this year but didn't see much playing time. Was a very good QB in the Big Sky and won freshman of the year in 2021. I wouldn't be surprised if both Montana schools are interested in him.

I believe the story is he graduated last year, has been working out in this fall and will enroll in MSU next month and attend spring camp (grey shirt). If I'm wrong on that I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me. I'm still unsure why he went that route. It sounded like some other FBS offers fell through for one reason or another, and he was planning on going the prep-school route but MSU convinced him to grey shirt here instead.

Let me be the first to say I was wrong. Didn't think he would make it to MSU. Partly due to interview, partly due to his talent. I think he comes in right away and competes for starting job....apparently the most important person does too (Vigen). This kid zips the ball, is athletic and has decent size.

Didn't you imply he was here? You said the entire staff has assesed his character, attitude and talent. My understanding of grey shirting means he's on campus enrolled in classes, practicing with the team but not a full time student which he will do next year but hasn't yet.
