Hey Greg.

With LaSane back, Anderson was slated to play at LB today until Vander got hurt.

What do I know though, right?

After the game Choate said he had Andersen getting ready to play linebacker. When asked what the future holds he said Troy can do a lot of things.

Did not realize Vander was injured...

Nothing major, but enough to keep him out of the 2nd half. Troy did great. Love his hustle and his attitude!

Anyone else getting tired of hearing the weekly Troy Anderson update? How many times does Murray in a post game presser have to answer "What do you think Troy brings to the team?" The kid is good, no doubt, but the coverage on him seems excessive.

I think Murray's been asked that twice in the post game presser. When someone has a big game on offense it's only natural to ask the QB and coach about it. Andersen gets additional attention, because he has that "it" factor that doesn't come around often.

I just don't see how the coaching staff can be thinking about using him on defense right now. He has been our most consistent back. Vander is solid, but Andersen is a rare combination of speed and power. I'm sure Lasane will getting better as he see more game reps, but Andersen is a huge difference maker.

As one poster said, Tom Kostabra used to hunt DB's in the first half and in the second half would look at them
And then run to the end zone . Troy will have that ability to run the ball down their throats and take their soles
Also. Now I think he would be a tremendous LB also. At Line Backer you go a whole game and get maybe a couple
Opportunities to really light some one up - hard to get a good angle on someone trying to avoid you. But as a Running
Back you can punish people at will , they don't get to avoid you . Either way Troy is the type of kid that will do either
Position as best he can to help his team and be a TONE setter where ever the coach's use him. PSU # 1 Safety was a
big hitter, tell he tried to tackle Troy and couldn't bring him down on the long run. We are Lucky to have him , I like
His attitude as well as his physical abilities.

Well then he better get 75% Of the linebacker reps.

I don't remember him on defense at all against portland.

Makes sense- he was originally brought in to play LB, and that group needs him for some depth, lots of injuries...

Definitely a good "problem" to have with troy- do we play him at RB, LB, Safety, QB... ha, this guy is a stud.

Said it before, but I think he has the tools to be an incredible LB down the road. Just imagine him in a couple years, after he has put on like 15-20 more pounds of muscle. It's roger cooper, only faster (and cooper was really fast for his size).

At this point, that's a very dumb question to ask any team member or coach.

The Bozeman media corps has lost a few really good ones lately, namely my good friend Parker Gabriel. The press conferences are still a work in progress with some of the young newbie writers and TV guys.

Also, one reason people are asked about Andersen so much is he can't talk himself. No freshmen allowed. So to write about you, you need quotes from others.

Did not realize that Frosh were not allowed to be interviewed. Thanks.

Who's the last Bobcat to see significant time playing both ways? If Troy can contribute on defense EWU would be an opponent where his speed would be of great benefit.

This should throw EWU for a loop.

It could be that Troy is being put in on the defensive side to counter some of the WR speed of EWU. I like him at LB without ever seeing him play a down simply because it was the reason he was recruited. He also has the attitude and strength to be a great Will LB!
