Why do you all think Hastings threw that pick? He had a dude wide open in the back of the end zone.

Pressure. Two kinds. DL pressure, and pressure pressure.

That's what I was thinking.

Because Davis had made like 20 flawless plays in a row where everything went their way and they were due to screw up...

And pressure!

I don't know about flawless. I re-watched the two plays where pass interference was called and I don't see enough for that call to be made in the end zone and the one over on the sidelines has no replay, but watching it live I thought it was offensive PI without question and was stunned when it wasn't called, then when I watched the replay and heard Gregorak thinking the same thing and Ben talking about how livid Vigen was, I have still have my doubts there. I'm not taking anything away from UCD, because they fought their butts off, but they don't make it close without the first PI and it makes the second one irrelevant if it goes as a no call. You never know though, UCD might get a turnover right after that or a safety or ....??

I watched the replay of the game again last night and I still don't understand why no one is talking about the Larison fumble right after the 4th and goal PI that wasn't. He fumbles the ball with a clear MSU recovery reaching for the goaline. It was called he was down by contact and Davis hurries up and runs a play quickly where they do score. Only a quick replay in between but he clearly fumbled and wasn't close to being down. MSU probably has to call a timeout to get the call reviewed but none of this happens without that TD.

I did the same thing. Have heard this week that it definitely should have at least been reviewed. Looked like the ball came out into the endzone as he was prone to the ground with no body part down.

I think one could argue he crossed the line before the fumble.

Not the TD, the play before that. He was short and it was a fumble. Refs called him down, they scored the next play, no review.

And frankly I didn't feel it was even close. How they don't at least look is infuriating. However, you know that even if they reviewed it they wouldn't change the call because they NEVER do. Unless of course it's a last second called touchdown at SDSU. And then I would have had another remote thrown through the tv.
