So you don't know how to play Roulette either?

Vigen put it all on 14.

I wanted him to put half on 14 and then half on 11.

The way I play, I had 2 long shots to win. The Papa G way, you get one shot.

My odds are double yours.

MSU is a math school, I shouldn't have to mansplain this to you.
Roulette is a pretty terrible example to use since no matter what bet you make, the expected value of your winnings for that bet is exactly the same.
Exactly. Thats why I chose roulette. Vigen was playing roulette on the last play: Theres effectively zero added chance of blocking a kick by rushing 11 instead of 10. The block is roulette spin #1.

Vigen should have put Taco back, then he could have had roulette spin #2.

It's two spins of the wheel instead of one. But for some inexplicable reason, Vigen decided he only wanted one spin.

The Bobcats could’ve used the refs from the semi final game in Dallas tonight. That taunting call was for a heckuva lot less than the taunt not called on the last drive after the hit on Alexander.

0% chance they kick to Taco so that spin doesn't count.

My post above feeds into this string. Had unsportsmanlike conduct for taunting been called (everything being constant) there’s about :25 remaining at punt time and kicking away from Taco is harder than it seems. You have to kick it out of bounds and that means it’s probably a short kick.

Just an insane play and trust by Cam Miller to throw it hot and believe Raja is going to be there. MSU defense literally did nothing wrong here. This stuff is a QB and WR working on routes in the offseason. This effectively won them the game.

I don't think that's the kind of thing you can say with any sort of confidence unless you have watched the All 22 from NDSU's punt team this year. Which seems really unlikely. Without inside information, I could just as easily make the argument that rushing 11 doubles the chances of blocking a punt, since if everyone on MSU does their job, NDSU has nine blockers in the play, and rushing 11 gives you twice as many free rushers. (My definition of "doing their job" here includes not being blocked by the snapper, since you're not allowed to hit the snapper and you can/should get upfield faster than he can turn and hit you)

In reality, it's probably somewhere in between.

Sorry. I have excepted. Ndsu owned MSU the whole game. You might want to say we came back and almost beat them. No we didn’t. Once we started coming back they responded every time.
We need to figure it out in offseason. I’m afraid they have too much coming back next year. More than us. I get the portal, but it is to fill a couple positions. Look at um. They try the portal every year to fill half the team. Not good. Need to develop players and make an environment for players to want to stay. Example Ndsu. Also example, MSU!!!
Something that might help? Domed stadium.
I know huge money. Think about it. If plan is to stay fcs, that can be multiple playoff games. Realistic it sucks playing outside that late. Just my thought.

MSU outscored them by 15 in the second half, so I don’t think it’s accurate to say they owned us the entire game. I know you’re trolling, but it works better if you’re accurate.

I can't believe what a smart poster you are. Probably best one on here. Finally someone who understands that the team that wins a game answered their opponent every time.

NDSU was never in a position where it needed to score against MSU, which is a credit to them. It was probably important for them to score every time MSU cut it to 3. The Bison never trailed in the game.

I think the best feather in MSU's cap is it had 287 yards on just 31 plays in the second half. I doubt any FCS teams have done that over the last 15 years. I think MSU's 500 yards of offense vs NDSU in 2023 is probably the most or close to the most NDSU has allowed in a game vs FCS teams in that span as well. I think MSU had over 200 yards of offense in both halves vs NDSU in 2023, which is impressive. I doubt very many teams have had over 900 yards of offense in consecutive games vs NDSU either or scored 66 points.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
