same deal with student tickets during regluar season or are they charging for the game?
No idea. I called the ticket office and there was no answer. The tickets went on sale at 1:00.

When I was in school at UM, student tickets were always free for regular season games, but they charged $5 each for student tix for playoff games. The reason, supposedly, was that the host school has to pay the NCAA a certain amount for the right to host a playoff game, and that makes giving away student tickets too costly a proposition.

Now, I understand that UM student tickets cost $4 for regular season games, and I'm not sure what they're doing (i.e., whether playoff games are still $4, or whether they're charging more).
I'm sure they will be $5.

What's the difference between you and a mallard with a cold? One's a sick duck. I can't remember how it ends but your mother's a whore.

My man Kirby, see avatar, hit the ball. Now the Cats will do the hittin on Saturday!

Catgrad, did you have to renew your season tickets for next year to get those tickets? The postcard I received makes it sound like season ticket holders have to renew in order to purchase post-season tickets.....or did I read that all wrong?

Tell you what, I was on hold for 25 minutes, then they finally picked up, and promptly hung the phone up. What jerks are working there, anyway? Now I am back on hold...

Anyway...Congratulations, Cats! And good game yesterday. I meant to post last night, but by the time I got home from the satellite TV party (and the Michigan - Ohio State satellite party, which was held at the same bar...followed by watching most of the Rutgers game, also at the same bar), I was in no shape to be anywhere near a keyboard.

I am shocked that you got a home game, but I'm happy for you. A rematch in Chatty would be sweet, but I think both of our teams have too much work ahead of them to be starting that kind of talk. I'm really surprised that we ended up on opposite sides of the bracket, though -- with regional pairing, I assumed that if MSU or PSU got in, the brackets would probably be set so that we'd meet in the second round.

That was a great game, and I'd rather hear Jack Buck's "That's a winner!" though.

By the way, I called to MSU athletics and got the message. Student tickets go on sale at 8 am Monday. I have no pricing information, but I plan to be there so I can snag one.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/

I just woke up about a half an hour ago (haha), logged on to see HOME GAME!!! I was like... who has a home game? THE BOBCATS? WHAT? YAAAAAA!!!!!

I hope I can get it off from work... I've requested Saturdays off all year to go to games, and I think their patience is wearing thing with me on that issue, and they probably didn't factor in a playoff game...

I was so mad after the game and I had to be around a whole buncha griz fans who were planning what they were going to do next week for their home playoff game. Then I get the news that we gotta a home playoff game and the tingling sensation down my spine hasnt stopped. I am so fired up.

Unbelievable. I am on my way to NYC and I get off the plane in Salt Lake and there is a message from my wife...yelling...screaming....I couldn't understand what she was saying (and thought that it was something bad).

Called her immediately.. PLAYOFFS......HOME GAME.

The poor people in SLC have got to think I'm nuts.

and they're right.
