Not even close. Paul had 38 carries against the Griz in Missoula...ran for like 240 yards and had a separated shoulder you could see when he walked. He just had 'em snap his shoukder back in place, strap him up and he went back in. Maybe a small bit like Paul, but no where near...
Well OK…..but yes it crossed my mind that it was a gutsy tough performance by the Theis kid….and as noted by others Schafer actually carried the ball more than 38 times which I knew and I also knew about the mouth cuts and knee.
We will probably never hear what Theis injuries were but he was obviously in pain and kept getting up and coming back in and putting the team on his back. He accounted for over half of USD offense with 190 yards combined receiving and rushing. So yeah it’s OK to think of another tough performance I have seen.

He may have actually had two different injuries during that game, but I'm pretty sure one was a shoulder dislocation, the way his arm was hanging, then he came back in normal so maybe they popped it back in.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

My viewing of him is limited, but Larison got the all-american nod. I thought Theiss showed more than when we played Larison. Both are fantastic.
