Updated w/ Gerle (NAU). Does anyone know if that WR that joined the team would be considered a transfer portal addition? Walk on? Something else?

Kind of a weird situation, as it doesn’t seem like he has even played the last couple seasons.

My understanding is that a player needs to enter the Portal in order for other schools to be able to make contact. So the Utah State kid would seem to be a Portal addition even though he never played there.

I'm in this camp. While I understand the desire to be more than just in a blocking role, he was the heir apparent to RJ who had 6 TD's last season. Furthermore if you look at how the portal treated proven RB's like Ifanse and Daniels(NAU to ??), not sure what Martin expects. I wish him the best though.

The photo in this tweet was taken at Bobcat Stadium after the first Weber game. He says in the comments that he plans on being with the team in January. More evidence, with that Instagram post, that he is definitely trying out for the team. I guess we will know for certain in a few weeks when Spring Ball starts.
