Kral Ferch's dunk was on Shelton Jones, not Willie Glass. It was awesome and I was about 5 feet from it.

Kral was a great dunker, so was Calvin Andrews from the same team.

Wow! That is tough, we have had tons of good shooters. Scott Hatler and Justin Brown were two of my favorites.

I will leave my name out as I am a bit prejudice. As far as pure shooters that I have seen:

1. Danny Sprinkle
2. Craig Finberg
3. Alonzo Stevens
4. Shann Ferch

Tom Domako was the best outside shooter in my opinion, but for pure entertainment value Alonzo Stephens consistently launching 28-foot jump shots off the dribble wins hands down.

Also, Sprinkle once hit 9 in a game if memory serves, so he has to be mentioned as well.

I'll take Tommy D.

My favorite Domako story was when he came back to school in the 90's and was playing pick up in the North Gym. He got on somebody on his team for not screening and being a ball hog and after the game this kid came up to me and Jason Kieffer and said who does that guy think he is Mr. All-Big Sky to which Jason said "actually yeah" and I said "actually yeah twice." Good times Good times.

How about Big John hitting that 3 in Missoula to send the game to OT? Anyone remember that?

There were some good pick-up games back then. I could be on the same team/floor with Tom Domako, Alonzo Stephens, or heck, even Elvis Old Bull depending on which day of the week it was.

Good times indeed.

What did you think of Craig Kilborne as a shooter? Granted he needed help getting open but I thought his range was incredible. I remember sitting in the upper deck of the field house with Kilborne at a practice before your first game as a freshman (Eastern Washington I think) and every time you touched the ball he would call you Tom Shooter. As I was getting ready to leave he told me Shooter is going to light up Eastern. I think you did (26 pts?)

Craig was a good shooter and a great guy. I had 27 against Eastern Washington because there was no scouting report on me yet and who would think a 6'9" skinny white kid could shoot so good. There was someone in my shorts the rest of my career.

I loved playing pickup games in the north gym as much as anyone. It was a great time.

Sprinkle was unreal. I was walking through the fieldhouse one day after a bball practice and Sprinks was shooting threes with Coach Jerry Olson rebounding for him. I noticed that Sprinkle hadn't missed in a while, and then Ole started laughing and shaking his head. Sprinkle finally missed one and ran into the locker room. After he left I went up to Ole and ask him how many Danny hit in a row. Ole said that he had never seen anything like it....28 three pointers in a row. (5 from the right baseline, 5 from the right wing, 5 from the top of the key, 5 from the left wing, 5 from the left baseline, 3 from the left wing)

Unreal.....

And a class act off court. I got to know Dannny and his Dad quite well over his career. Great family.

I remember watching many of those North Gym pickup games. Some great basketball played there back in the day.

Yeah, I remember that one. What a shot!!! I liked Big John. He was a good player for the Bobcats. I think the better 3 pointer was when Jaron hit the buzzer beater in Missoula last year.

You still have to look at Craig Finberg as the best pure shooter. He is 7th on the career list with 1473 points to Sprinkle's 1497. Sprinkle played about 3.5 years and Finberg played 3. Sprinkle had 263-3 pointers and there was no 3 point line when Finberg played. Finberg averaged 17.7 points for his career (1975-79), 5th in Bobcat history and Sprinkle isn't even in the top 14. I will say that Sprinkle is the best pure shooter we have had here since Tom Domako in 1988.
