15 years and 6 top 3 finishes - 2 number 1 finishes and 1 2nd place finish.
One tournament win.
Losing recorde to UofM, NAU and Weber.
The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

You can take this a little further too I guess (will require research though). How many of MSU's 6th/7th place teams got in the BigSky tourney and made the finals? How many of MSU's top 3 teams got into the tournament and made the final game? Semifinals etc. To me there are 2 key aspects. Winning the conference should be the top goal and winning the tourney (which everyone loves when they make the tourney) should be the other goal. Tournaments are tough to judge as some teams just get hot at the end of the year (March Madness). However, some of the MSU teams that finished 5th/6th should be some of those HOT teams in the tourney etc. I guess we need to look at the tournament results too. I will see if I can find some of that info.

If Durham was that good of a coach he would have moved to a more lucrative program like, Giacoletti (Eastern to Utah), the former NAU coach who went to Pitt (turned that program around) and is now at UCLA(getting that program on track). Those are just the recent coaches, think about Montgomery, Blaine Taylor, Jud Heathcoate, and that is just in Missoula. The big sky conference is meant to be a stepping stone, the only reason why Durham has records is because of his length of tenure, which is not a good thing imo to have in the Big sky. Especially when your record is barely above 500...so I think that these are some more reasons why we are getting fed up with terrible pre-season play and decent conference play.
One last thing...why do we have pre-season if everyone's saying that hopefully we will start playing as a team. Isn't the 15-20 practices for the first game meant to create a cohesiveness? So yeah I do think that we are allowed to have a gripe about the way the team is playing, there is no reason why we are 2-5 other than the coaches are not getting the players to do what they want, which to me goes back to the coaches imo.

To me playing as a team means everyone knows his role and gets it done every game. It looks to me like there are only a couple of players who know their role Jefferson and Miller. The rest are floundering. Moss sometimes posts up, gets a few rebounds but disappears during the middleo games and is forgotten...the same with Dissly. Beye is a big man who is very athletic but cannot hold his own against the more physical big men so we get outrebounded and if Moss isn't "present" teams hit the offensive boards and we give up a lot of second shots. Ireally don't know what to make of the team this year...it's like they don't want to do the things thye need to do to win which in some cases is rebounding, playing defense, and hustling. Too much of their game is predicated on shooting and not enough on playing basketball. If the shooting isn't on...they don't know what to do. How many of you have noticed that if they have 15 seconds to get off a last shot they actually run a play for someone other than a guard taking a three pointer? Even if all they need is a two pointer...they take a three and it's usually from about 25 feet. When we had Jeff Riggs he was designated to do it and he usally drove to the basket...but that was the only option we used. Is this a lack of creativity on the coaches part? or do we just not know how to create a shot outside of 25 feet?
