have met his wife as well and she wants him to find something that he will win and do good for himself at. He always told me he planned to come back to Ytown after college and I beleive he will come here.
I will try to hit him up by weeks end or on Sunday. but again I am in the 90s% sure he is coming even if his wife is at WSU

Acording to the Seattle paper today Timm Rosenbaugh is helping him create a highlight film. Timm was the OC at Eastern before taking the QB coaching job at wazzu. Just a little more fuel for the fire.
Who knows what factors determine the final decision?? I can see a case for wanting to return home to join up with former high school mates to make a run for the national championship and go out in a blaze of hometown folklore glory. I can see him wanting to stay close to his wife. But most of all I can see him this weekend in the MSU locker room looking at himself in a mirror adorned with a golden Riddell, burnished with genuine gold dust and a solid Navy blue, block "M" screaming, "I got the VIM!!!"

First off I'd like to say I've always kinda been a YSU fan.eguin wrote:I have met his wife as well and she wants him to find something that he will win and do good for himself at. He always told me he planned to come back to Ytown after college and I beleive he will come here.

Secondly, in my personal opinion, I want YSU to get this kid more than I want MSU to.
We have a RS Junior QB who hasn't been able to play because of Mr. Lulay. But from what I've seen in his limited time and practices, he has a good arm.
I think Carpenter should get a shot.
Isn't there a good Soph QB at YSU though?
The problem for Swogger - he wants to win a NC, but most contenders are set at QB, and he has only one year of eligibility left.
In reality I think Richmond might be his best bet.
Oh, and that griz fan who thinks Swogger will be at MSU, is unfortunately wrong a good deal of the time (no offense Wolf).

It may be 90% now my friend, but there is one factor that everyone is seriously overlooking. One hour with the Big Human and this kid will be begging to put the old Blue and Gold...eguin wrote:Listen up here. I went to high school with Josh and there is this little thing called a phone and an email address to communicate and I do that with Josh. I talked to him last week and even then he said he wants to explore other options but again YSU is definately the frontrunner but after talking to his dad yesterday I again say the 90s% range of him coming to YSU..
And if you guys think 50% you are smoking something; I am stunned he is even going to check you out; Richmond just a few weeks was his #2 choice...

Just kidding - but Kramer really is one hell of a salesman. He's not perfect but one thing he can definitely do is sell someone on the program...

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Apparently Swogger is visiting other schools other than just Youngstown St and MSU. Agree that EWU or YSU would seem to be front runners based upon family situation.

he might be better than me and papa are saying, but there's no way he's as good as everyone else is saying! i dont even know the dude and i'm sick of hearing about him. between here and egriz there's over 100 posts about this dude. i want him to commit to ysu or someone so we can end it.longhorn_22 wrote:He's a lot better than you make it sound. Again, i agree fully. Carpenter or Coppack should run this offense fine next year, just because they have 2 full years in the system. Granted, neither have had much playing time because of the redheaded ironman, but im not worried. Plus, Swogger sounds like a pocket passer. I would rather have a mobile QB over a slow drop back passer ANY day of the week, especially in college.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Screw this guy, I don't want him to be a Bobcat. He sounds like a spoiled little prima donna (which would make him a perfect fit with Hauck). As others have said, I don't even think he is that good. Let Youngstown or UM deal with this headcase, I am more than happy putting our future in Cory Carpenter's hands.

In a word... NO.
"Missoula's not that far from Pullman, Bozeman is really far away," Swogger said.
Grizzly coach Bobby Hauck and assistant coach Ty Gregorak drove through a snowstorm to meet with Swogger in Pullman last Thursday. "That says something to me," Swogger said.

Ditto. Our coaches have been driving through all sorts of snowstorms for players. If you're that concerned about how far it is from Pullman to Bozeman, go to Eastern, it's only 90 miles and four stoplights from Pullman. I'll take Carpenter too.

I was thinking the same as you Bozone. Our coaches jump through hoops to get good kids in our system. cry Baby Hauck drove through a snowstorm to see you.....BFD. Its winter time and it does snow from time to time and if the coaches need to recruit, Mother Nature isn't going to stand in the way. Go to um, beating um in Missoula will be that much sweeter. Good riddance.BozoneCat wrote:http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/ar ... wogger.txt

I am guessing that the CATS want him to commit now because we want Larson to get off of the fence and come to Bozeman??

Is is typical for recruits to give up to the minute prognoses of their status in every interview, or is this a slightly different route he is taking? I was never excited about the idea of him coming here with only one year left, so I too just wish he would get it over with so we could get on to something else.
It seems like he is enjoying the attention, though.
I would actually like to see him go to UM ... what better way for MSU to get high school QB recruits than to point to the continuing revolving door of transfers at UM and say, "Do you want to be replaced by the next "big school" guy who isn't happy and want to be BMOC again," just as you have earned your way to the starting job through years of work?"
Unless a real gift drops in our lap at QB, I am happy to go with the guys we have and find out what they've got.

Let me start by saying that I am not opposed to transfers, or to JC recruits....whether it is Swogger, or somebody else - as long as they can perform on the field, and are positive in the community.
However, I've got to say that if you use "Griz logic", as evidenced by posts in the past, then the Griz program is in trouble. They are all very excited about a possible WR transfer that has NFL ability, they might get a QB transfer (Swogger), and now they are touting the fact that they might get a Louisville RB transfer - this in addition to Washington at QB and Eric Allen at WR.
Now many Griz posters have criticized Kramer in the past for getting alot of transfers for the program, and have used that as "evidence" that the MSU program is in "trouble". So, is the Griz program in trouble?
Moderators - if this belongs on another thread, please move it - this is not intended as smack.
