Vital question about Bozeman Bars.................

i haven't read all the posts but i have to ask who remembers "little john's" when it was under the sidewalk on the north side of main street between tracy and wilson...also the underground bar in the basement of the bozeman hotel and the gemstone of the "oaks"...good god i'm old...

also does anyone remember the go go dancers in the "molly"? or st. george and the dragon???

There is still good ol' fashioned Montana beer and whiskey drinin' that takes place nightly, right down the street....The Crystal. I've always liked the Crystal better anyway, especially after I met Ralph Ferraro, owner of the R-bar. What a complete jackass!

Grunge, the owner of the Crystal is far better.

I will always remember quarter beer night. That taught me that Thursday was part of the weekend. It also taught me how to go to class with a killer hangover.

Oh, and whoever said the Huaf was a “hick” hangout was told something totally different then what I have heard and know. The Hauf is Bozeman's home to dirty hippies!

I'm sure our definitions of hicks are two entirely different things Quast. I went in there and felt really out of place.

Last night a couple buddies and myself went on the "Tour De Bozeman" for shots. We started at specs and moved on to the triangle. First stop was the Hauf and I would have to give quast's "home of the dirty hippies" a big thumbs up. We were extremely out of place due to lack of dredlocks and hemp. however, after a quick shot of well whiskey we were quickly on our way to the scoop and the molly and a raging headache for today.

$5 dollar night at the cats paw were great- especially when the Max would play.

What about quarter beers before they went to $5 pitchers. way too many hung over fridays in my college career.

r-bar is a joke now. Cash was the best bartender ever. You gotta be good if the local paper does a write up when you retire from bartending!
