I know MSU has one of the best video creative departments in the country, but sometimes I forget how outstanding they really are. This 2023 NAU run out video popped up in my YouTube feed today. The video isn't horrible but you can definitely see how the quality and ingenuity of MSUs creative team is miles ahead of some others in the Big Sky.

As Charles Barkley would say, "That's just turrible..."

I don't know about you guys, but nothing gets me more hyped up for a football game than video clips of tornados doing severe property damage followed by a screeching fake emergency alert broadcast.

Me too…had me fired up…but when they didn’t show a field with about 3” of snow on it, a howling blizzard, and a thermometer registering at sbout 5 degrees…well they lost me.

I did one of these type of runs back when I lived in South Carolina. These runs can be tough as heck but a lot of fun.

Looks a lot like Junior Alexander. I believe he had a nagging leg injury during spring ball that limited him. I assume he probably had some kind of arthroscopic surgery done or perhaps is just wearing a brace to protect it.

I just checked out the results for the Spartan Race...anyone want to guess which MSU players had the fastest time? A group of six finished within five seconds of each other but two tied for the fastest time (by one second). And the bonus question, which current member of the coaching staff finished before all of the players?

And for anyone concerned about Lonyatta's knee brace, he also participated and finished the race.

Mellott, Uluilakepa, Dowler, Polidore, Ortt and Elliott.

Owens.

Either 0/6 or 1/6 depending on which Uluilakepa, and no on the coach.

Also looked up the results. Would not have had Tommy Mellot being beat out by 3 defensive linemen and the long snapper.

Also our one-time offensive coordinator punched above his weight class Impressive!

Also wow! Cole Sain blew the rest of the offensive lineman out of the water time-wise.

Yes, definitely some interesting results although you have to wonder if they were going at somewhat less than 100% intensity to avoid potential injuries as much as possible. For those who haven't seen the results, the top 6 players were:

Jacob Trimble, Zac Crews, Taki Uluilakepa, Patrick Duchien, Jon Johnson, and Bryce Grebe. Justin Udy finished faster than all of them as well as two former players I saw - Clevan Thomas and Jon Montoya at age 41.

This is 100% Dru Polidore, "lower body injury" in spring camp

Yeah, sometimes people run these things with a team, helping each other over obstacles, or just having fun together. Heck, I got stuck in a mud pit in one of these type of races and it took me forever to extricate myself and I even lost my shoes. I wasn't trying to run a fast time after that.

I also immediately thought that was Polidore, but wasn’t sure when I saw Alexander mentioned.

I think Duchien’s got a huge upside in the possibility of replacing Shawn Chambers.

Definitely is Polidore, makes me nervous seeing a brace because I believe he may be the key to our defense

Me too, but I feel better knowing he completed the race. If there was any concern at all I doubt Vigen (or the doctors) would have let him participate in a Spartan race.
