MSU didn't lose much at Gatton Field back in the 60's, but Texas A&M came to town in 1968 when Mercury Morris played there and beat the Cats 35-20. I was about to say these goal posts really took about the same to me. Appreciative of all the other improvements made since then though!

That’s the same scoreboard used at Reno H. Sales Stadium through the 1983 season.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 12:47 pmHoly Cow. Talk about short goalposts! This was officially approved months ago but just saw where Idaho State is accepting 6 million from Idaho Central Credit Union to rename Holt Arena the ICCU Dome for the next 12-years.

Man, I thought the Idaho schools had it bad recently with all their road games, but NAU is doing it too. Only five home games in a 12 game season.

More like 4.5. I wouldn't be super excited about hosting Lincoln, in reality they have one home game the first 7 weeks of the season.

Playing Lincoln, good grief. At least they should start the season 1-0.

That's frigin ridiculous. I was wondering why I couldn't find a full 2024 schedule for Lincoln. The only 2024 team that I can find that Lincoln is playing is NAU and that's for $55,000. NAU should be ashamed of themselves and so should the Lincoln folks that are taking advantage of these young men.Montanabob wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 11:17 amOH WOW - all road games, no practice field and coaches paying out of pocket to support the team......

Cal Poly played them last year and won 41-20. That should give you a good idea of how bad Lincoln is.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 12:41 pmThat's frigin ridiculous. Richmond leaving the CAA for the Patriot League in 2025. This is a huge head scratcher. Wonder if it's because the CAA has gotten so big.

Re: Off Season random stuff 2024
Thanks for posting that. Interesting read. The CAA has been passed up by the Southern Conference as the 3rd best league in FCS in my opinion. This won't help their case. It'll be interesting to see if the Patriot League gets another team or 2 from the CAA that are good and becomes a multi-bid league in the future.Montanabob wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 4:16 amand a little background on this, Flo sports and maybe more moves. i think Richmond wants to be the big fish in a small pond.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 5:38 pmRichmond leaving the CAA for the Patriot League in 2025.
