Agree to disagree.
No I don’t agree.
You don’t agree that I can have a different point of view? Makes sense ….
No you dolt. Except for a few plays the secondary played very good. They TD before the half ISU had a free play Hail Mary type of play that is hard to defend because the D line is start stop start so the back end had to stay in phase a few seconds longer. And the TD was an NFL type throw, catch, and toe tap that is nearly impossible to cover.
The secondary played extremely well versus a pass happy scheme and anyone who knows football can see that.
Ah yes. The old “the qb we just played was nfl caliber.” Sure Karen.
Maybe posting on Reddit where you probably hold a record for most downvotes in the FCS Sub is a better place for you.

If you guys want to watch secondaries that are actually bad, turn on the Griz/EWU game.

A decisive win in that wacky dome, but with uncertainties. ISU really got momentum in the 3rd quarter. Our defense was getting tired and they were making plays. ISU had a lot of fight in them, but they had to resort to chucking it deep and hoping for the best a lot. It did work once just before halftime. Their tall receiver was a problem all night. That long play to Rohan Jones caused a huge sigh of relief. Then the D-with little time to rest, came out and got a 3 and out and then a nice long soul stealing, drag them to the deep end, drive to put it out of reach. Good win. Very loud environment. It was also very stuffy-hot in there. Bad day to have a dome. Road wins are always gold!

We may put up some serious yards against EWU on the ground. My god, the Griz and Eagles are Swiss cheese of D

Weber is quickly on the EWU trajectory of becoming irrelevant

ISU demonstrated that committing heavily to run defense can disrupt the Cats' game plan. Hopefully, Tommy can calm down, connect on his passes, and take advantage of that aggressiveness from opposing teams.

Yes in that dome even a small crowd can make a heck of a lot of racket. Our crowd was really loud too!

There were a few plays that we were close to breaking. So it goes.

ISU played very assignment sure, and Tommy just missed some passes he usually makes. Honestly, they probably played their A game, we certainly didn’t, and still won by 20.

And ISU will certainly win 4-6 more games this season as well. They aren’t slouches.

It's at Idaho. I don't think they'll have any problem.

Prior to this game, ISU was averaging 6.15 yards per play, and 6.67 yards per pass.

MSU held them to 4.5 yards per play, and 4.9 yards per play.

I think Oregon State and Western Oregon properly skew both ways for ISU.

Anytime you hold any team to ~2 yards per play less than their average, you’re doing good. Anything sub 5 yards is considered excellent. Just a little perspective.

In the era of unlimited transfers & NIL, Weber & EWU are at a huge disadvantage.

Yeah, I think this DL is elite, the LBs are good, and the secondary is plenty adequate.

As a unit, thats a REALLY good place to be.

When we the Cats fans cranked it up, I think our fans were louder than the ISU fans at any point in the game.

No I don’t agree.
Did we watch the same game? Secondary has some work to do before the Idaho game.
20/41 for 201, 2/1. That’s 10 yards per completion, 4.18 yards per attempt. I’ll take that any day.
The only quibble with that was that ISU missed a couple wide open receivers early on. I was worried after the first quarter, but after that, the secondary looked fine. It's not stacked with all BSC players...but it's a long way from trash or incompetent.

Especially when paired with a great pass rush.
Yeah this. ISU's numbers were bad but they had 4-5 wide open deep shots and the qb overthrew them. That's going to bite us against the best teams.

The LB’s are really good inside the box, iffy outside of it. It’s one reason I’d like to see Bryce Grebe and Daily continue to develop. Their speed could be huge.
