Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but every time I watch EWU they come across as dirty.
I always think that too. They don’t ‘play through the whistle’. They seem to play through the echo of the whistle. It may be my biased dislike of them but I see leg twists in the pile, using helmets as leverage to get up off the ground, stepping on fingers, extra shoves out of bounds, and just generally poor sportsmanship.
My distaste of ewooo is second only to the gris.

I don't think MSU will ever have a blowout win in Cheney, but it's great to win three in a row there after so many losses and weird games there over the years. Win and get out of there for the next two years!

And it sounds like they are ditching the dumb red turf.

Really? That’s the main thing they seem to market in football. The Inferno. They installed a new turf in 2020, so getting rid of it would be a financial hit for them too.

They aren't getting rid of it until their next replacement is needed. But they are going back to green from what I've heard.

I think it's a good call to go back to green, the red field was a big deal 15 years ago but nobody seems to really care about it all that much anymore.

We can always hope they replace it sooner than later.
Watching a game on that field is about the only time I wish I were color blind. Maybe it's ugly for color blind people too.

When I see hi-def photos, it doesn’t look terrible. On a broadcast, it’s god awful. I actually forgot that it was red when ESPN+ was down yesterday, was enjoying listening to it, then popped it up on the tube and just shook my head.

I still find it a bit surprising they would ditch something they rely on so much for recruiting and marketing of their team. Heck, they even sold off bits of the old red turf, in the form of welcome mats and other stuff, to the fans when they upgraded to the new field. I guess if they manage to ever raise the money to improve their stadium, they won't need the red turf gimmick as much.

O'Reilly was dinged at one point, too. But I believe he was still out there at the end...
I saw O’Reilly and Crews after the game and neither appeared injured.

That's great to hear. So hopefully we got out of there unscathed, in terms of anyone missing any significant time. Are we seeing any lingering injury things on the OL or was that just normal, planned shuffling or rotating? Besides Perk, do we know if any other linemen are banded up at all? Jow about Julius? Assume he's find and the play was just to get him a few carries early and then sit the bench. Finally, did Marquis play?
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Except Crews is missing a tooth!
I know it’s an old injury it just stands out when you see him in person.

Yeah, that tooth is crazy looking. His interview a few weeks ago was so hilarious. I think he'd just lost it a few days earlier and you could tell he was a little self-conscious about it. Someone finally said something (maybe it was him) and that broke the ice, and everyone was laughing about it. I don't think anyone knew if he had just lost it or if it had been gone for years or what. So, it was a little awkward for a while.
I had to have one of my front teeth replaced several years ago and it was a fun feature to mess with friends with.

They posted something on Twitter/X on April Fools Day about replacing the red turf. That was a joke, and I have my doubts that they would replace it if they made an April Fool's joke about it. Just my guess though.

I've been told that the entire concept of the red field actually started a joke, but then boosters starting lining up to donate. And here we are.
