Kramer, take the Idaho job

Post by lc122978 » Thu Dec 14, 2006 3:48 pm

Lets see you have an offense that is behind by over 20 points, that means lets keep running the ball time after time even though the clock keeps running while we go no where. I am not sure how many times this happened during the year cause it was too many to to count.

At the beginning of the season you were playing both quarterbacks and you realized that it was not working so you choose one of the quarterbacks. Of course you choose the best one of the bunch, Carpenter. He can run a ball control offense ok if you could run the ball and every once in a while you threw the ball deep. Well guess what Carpenter is to much of weak armed quarterback that he won't throw it over 5 yards at a time. In a ball control offense you have to throw it deep a few times a game just to keep the defense honest. Then Carpenter got hurt and guess what the Bobcats started to win, what the hell. Now the offense moved the ball up the field very well since you throw the ball down the field.

The three running backs. Mason is hands down the best back the team has. Kramer kept playing the other two backs that are not worth naming cause they were terrible. Mason got 3 + yards a carry and the offense moved with him in there. The other two should have been moved to full back cause they were great at making contact and blocking or taking people to the ground. Wait, they are not supposed to get taken to the ground after contact cause they are tailbacks so that means they are supposed to kepp going after contact.

Your ability to put the best players in at the same time will get you fired. I also think that with your, or your coaching staffs, play calling abilities you will last about two seasons in Idaho and then you will be out of football.

Well Kramer said he didn't want this to turn into a BS show!!! Well that's exactly what it is. Stay to true to your words Kramer. If they wanted him they would hire him TODAY! Not next week.........This decision doesn't help either program. Never thought I'd see the day that we would hold our breath for Idaho to make a decision....

As frustrating as it may seem, I think the Vandals are taking a cautious approach probably because of the Erickson situation (personally I have no problem with Dennis' decision- a lot more money, chance to win a NC again, etc.).

Whether or not Coach Kramer becomes their next coach will determine if the Cats are looking for a new coach. If he does get the job I wish him all the best, and that will kick off the selection process for a new Bobcat HC. I suspect that the MSU selection process will take much longer than the UI process, and I also have no problem with that- we are not in a rebuilding year by any means, so we need the right individual to take control and lead the Cats into the future.

In the meantime......................................

You're right GOKATS. We should be able to stand a little patience. Neither basketball team is giving us much right now so I guess we can use a coaching decision for a while. On second thought I would like to know who is coaching the Cats in the near future but in no way does my frustration have any affect on how soon Idaho and MSU choose their coaches. I would like it to happen before the Griz though. Hey, Hauck what about Alabama? :P

I will settle for nothing less than a notarized copy of the signed contract before I believe anything at this point.

Akey in the mix at Idaho

Good morning.

Here's Jim Meehan's update on Idaho's search for a new head coach, which now includes Washington State defensive coordinator Robb Akey. Akey interviewed yesterday for the job, and with John L. Smith removing his name from consideration, Akey is probably one of two finalists - albeit the longer shot of the two - alongside Montana State coach Mike Kramer.

Updates on this as necessary, of course.

Also, I know there has been some speculation that Timm Rosenbach would take a job on Dennis Erickson's staff down in Tempe, but don't count on it. Erickson already has an offensive coordinator in place in Rich Olson, formerly the coordinator at Miami, and Rosenbach isn't in the running for the quarterbacks job, as I see it. Much more likely that Jonathan Smith, the quarterbacks coach at Idaho, will follow Erickson to the desert.

That's the scoop on football as of this moment.

Most recent news article from Spokane newspaper.

I would not be suprised if Kramer took one look at Idaho's disgusting, p*ss poor facilities and decided he wanted to stay at MSU. At least in Bozeman there is a plan to continue to improve facilities. Am I correct in hearing that the Kibbie Dome is structurally unsound? Wow, how much harder could it get to recruit and coach at Idaho.

I wish Mike the best luck, but sincerley hope he stays in Bozeman.

You know the whole purpose of message boards is to shoot the breeze about the topic at hand, in this case Bobcat Sports. It is nothing more than on a greater scale as a group of people sitting around a table at a bar shooting the breeze. Granted this is broadcast out over the entire world, but to expect journalistic integrity to what people are talking about is a little much to ask. That said, though, should we expect a little more from the actual paid educated and professional news organizations than we are getting. This is embarrassing, how many reported "events" that were not even close to being the truth. I wonder how much of their info was gleamed off of message boards, and the confirmed by people who read it on the message boards.
