FU Victor, we beat PSU head to head and we did it easily. 7-4 equals 7-4 and we beat them. Dosen't get more complicated than that.

The PSU/MSU question is a tough one to answer and I'm glad I'm not on the committee. As stated, MSU owns a head-to-head over PSU and that needs to be weighted heavily. The Cats also played better than anyone else (with the possible exception of Cal-Poly) at Washington-Griz keeping the game close which is never easy. PSU's dreaded schedule also becomes big factor. That three home-game skid is a big black eye on MSU's season though. Everyone should be honest and admit it's going to be a tough call.

It's kind of nutty that we're trying to figure out which 7-4 team(s) get in this year. I'm hoping it's the Cats. Either way, any 7-4 team that doesn't make it does not deserve to say "We were screwed!!!"......just my .02.

I think the Cats should get the nod... and I think they'll have a better showing in the playoffs if they do get in.

For those making the decision I hope they go okay they beat a IA and lost to a DII, those two cancel eachother out.... so what else have they done this season.

We'll see won't we.

I agree as well. We shut out PSU 14-0 and held the mighty Griz to what 17 below their scoring average at THEIR PLACE. Pretty much dominated the game until the middle of the 3rd when we gave up that long TD pass (DAGGER!!). And if the selection Committee doesn't think losing 13-7 to the #2 Griz at their place then I would have them look at all the playoff teams they have sent Missoula's way in the past and check out some of those scores the Griz have put on all those SO CALLED TOP teams (a lot of the high ranked Eastern teams at that). We went into their place and if it wasn't for 1 mistake (long 50 yard TD pass) or we finish that drive on their 20 and go in for the TD and the win we have them at their place.

I think we proved to the Committee which team really has been playing well the last 6-8 games and it isn't Portland State! 6 in a row, Beat PSU (shut them out), Beat Colorado, took #2 Griz down the wire in pretty much a playoff game AT THEIR PLACE!

Now if your a Committee member and can honestly put Portland State in over MSU then that is what you have to do. The stats above do not lie and MSU is a HOT team right now. If this was the NCAA bball playoff committee you know MSU would be in if they were on the bubble. The Playoffs should contain teams that have been playing WELL to end the season and who have been winning.

P.S - If you Eastern voters want the Griz out, you might vote MSU in as we will take them out the next time we play them in the 2nd round. That will keep your Eastern teams from coming out and having to visit the ALL MIGHTY GRIZ OUT here. Just a thought :)

I don't see the CU being any bigger of a win the New Mexico win. CU was really bad this year.

BIG 12 (BCS Conference). That is a HUGE win for MSU whether CU was at the bottom of their conference or not. HUGE STEP UP.

I agree tampa, but if PSU gets in and we don't, I will say we were screwed.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I agree it is a huge win for MSU, but I don't think it is bigger than New Mexico in terms of playoff implications. The Big 12 is obviously a bigger name conference, but common opponents say NM was a better team. They beat CSU and played Missouri better. I feel the CU win is a wash with the NM win and neither will determine who gets in. It just isn't a strong claim to me.
