Does Carpenter have small hands? He was juggling the ball a lot today. And he didn't have very many well thrown balls in the second half. I think the cold weather was really bothering him.

Rolovich did very well. But he was interception prone in his limited time against Chadron and UC Davis. He also chose to force a throw instead of running it against Chadron resulting in an interception. Maybe he's seen those mistakes on film and learned from them.

With the way the O-line is starting to block, the way Mason runs the ball and Groves coming back-Rolovich just needs to make sure to master the hand off and then get out of the way.

If this team doesn't turn the ball over too much they do just fine.

I will echo many of the posts here, I was not all that impressed with Carps play today. He seemed uncomfortable in the cold, and went back to not going through his progressions and throwing the quick slants and swing passes. I loved it when Rolo came in, touchdown pass to Mason was picture perfect. Also, I keyed on one throw in his second drive that makes me believe that he is better than Carp. That was the third and long bootleg throw to Bostick. I have yet to see that kind of dynamic play from Carp. If Carp has time in the pocket he does ok, however, playing a defense like we saw today his time was frequently limited, albeit our line played well against their vaunted defensive front. He just doesn't do well if he has to bump out, almost every time he got flushed he couldn't do anything. Rolo brings a whole new dimension to the offense with his ability to bootleg out and make throws. Combine that with using good progressions to the recievers, I am opmistic about our offensive situation.

Sign of a good QB- he checked all of the receivers and picked up on Mason being open as the last option.

I agree-Rolo just seems much more comfortable out there. He goes through the progressions and gets the job done. Cory really looks uncomfortable. Give Rolo a chance. Mason makes it all the better.

I have said it for weeks that this team could be better if Cory was a stronger QB, it is too bad that he had to get hurt in order to see Jack in there, but there is no question in my mind who is the better QB. I think even better things are around the corner for this team!

Big win today, and great crowd for sticking in there even when the weather wasn't the best.
This week is what I have wanted to see all year. Groves running the ball, a healthy D, and Rolo at QB. If Lewis is back as well then I believe we are at almost 100%. Hopefully we can continue to roll.

I saw him suited up but I never saw him on the field. Of course, my wife got cold and I had to leave early---damnit.

Lewis played and had at least one catch I think

I would like to see him returning kicks and punts again.

Who would be Rolo's back up just in case?

Sounds like Cory may be ready to go this weekend. Otherwise they'd have to burn Rasmussens redshirt, if need be (I'd really hate to see that happen- he is the QB of the future).

Carps injury doesn't appear as bad as originally diagnosed, so with any luck we'll do great w/ Carp and Rolo and finish with a great season!

Go 'Cats!!

Rasmussan is moving from the scout team to the #2's this week as a precaution.

It is too early to say who is better, Rolo, or Carp, but our team is in much better shape knowing we could steal two on the road, and return for the home stretch with two experienced QBs and two experienced RB's...three if you include Taito...btw, Taito ran well on Saturday as well.

What a season this could prove to be.
