The Griz lost a national championship game two years ago. January 2024 was not so long ago. The Cats lost one last year and lost one four years ago. The Griz lost one in 2009, 2008, and 2004. What’s your point?

I am sure you understood what he was getting at. I will break it down for you differently. Find any educated FCS football fan who does not have an allegiance to either the Cats or the Gris and ask them “which FCS program in Montana is currently the strongest”? 9 out of 10 will tell you Montana State.

And if you go further and ask which school is thriving academically and financially, I would expect that 9 out of 10 would also say MSU.

But you can go ahead and refer back to 2001 if that makes you feel better.
