According to the box scores from the MSU football website, the temperature at kick-off for each of our home playoff games this year was 50 degrees (UTM), 28 degrees (Idaho), and 49 degrees (USD). It's absolutely crazy to think that we have the potential of having the coldest gametime temperature all season for the championship game and it's in Texas!! Forecast is for a high of 41, dropping to potentially 32 at kickoff.

So much for having a nice respite from winter....
Chance of rain Sunday. I wonder if they will tarp the field?
It was in the high 70s today....if it's hot and humid, then colder and humid, with rain, that field will be an utter mess if they don't tarp it....
i am confused by your illogic. if it was 28 for idaho, how is 32 in Frisco colder? are you mathematically challenged?
He's not saying Frisco is colder, he's saying the humidity along with the changing temps will trash the field.

70 degrees with high humidity then getting colder with high humidity while adding in some rain is not going to be great for the turf if they don't tarp it.

Actually, I'm quite mathematically adept. You have to throw in the humidity. We rarely have high humidity in Montana, whereas it's usually pretty high in that area. 32 degrees with high humidity that evening, and yes - it will be colder than the 28 degrees in Montana. Toss in a little 15-20mph wind. Maybe you've never experienced Texas humidity?

Need to add in denser air at sea level than 5000 ft is more conductive.

It will definitely feel colder in Frisco.

Question, does anyone know the policy on allowing heated vests/jackets into the stadium? I know they aren't allowed at some NFL stadiums.

The wife wears hers at Bobcat Stadium. Not sure if the Texans even know that heated vests exist.

That's a great question! My wife was thinking of bringing hers, but I told her that I wasn't sure she would be able to get it in the stadium.

Last trip I ended up in Frisco early and had a lot of time on my hands. I visited with The stadium manager last time. His name escapes me at the moment. They had new sod rain and freezing weather last time and I asked about Tarpon. They had a blank stare. They also had a blank stare when I asked them if they were going to add more Porta Johns and garbage cans to the Montana State tailgate area. They thought that was adequate! For those of you that were there you remember overflowing outhouses and overflowing dumpsters.
Unless the teams request it I don’t see them Terping the field

I love all the interviews. Part of me hates all the hype. I mean I know it's necessary as this is a HUGE deal. On the other hand it just adds so much pressure, more than in 2021 due to the past 3 years and the undefeated record.

I doubt the team is looking at any of the hype. Rat poison

There was just as much hype around 2021 because the near-hysteria around Tommy Mellott was immense, Sonny Holland was still alive and there was the obvious Butte connection with Tommy, and...Troy Andersen, who is certainly the most chronicled athlete of the modern era in Montana. Troy is the type of athlete we could all write about pretty much weekly and it was never over kill or over saturated. Only Tommy can touch that level of hype and fame, but even he has so many teammates, particularly with Montana roots, who are also getting a ton of press right now too.

They are built for it. No. 1 team in terms of understanding how to deal with the media that we've covered, no doubt.

I guess you're right about the level of hype being the same. It just seems like more this year because of the 40 years, undefeated season, senior laden team of Montanans like you said, etc. It's not a terrible thing, it's super exciting really and the interviews, articles, etc have been really great! And I'm sure the team is staying very focused.
