I"ll be interested if MSU 'direct snaps to Jones'.....which they tried to do in the 2nd half (I think) but we were 'offsides' and ended up not running the play. Tommy took up the slot receiver position and Jones moved to shotgun. I'm thinking that play and a few more like it might just be on the play sheet in 2 weeks.

"Emotionally drained" and Brendon flipping the field... Exactly...
Great team effort.

Game played out very similar to UCD, except Cats got the stops. Did you trust what they did at UCD or did it make you nervous when Cats had to stop a 2 pt conversion to win. It is a pattern. It has worked. 1 x close, 1x 2 red zone stops to not be close score. Hopefully we don't have to see it again. Execution wasn't great when 3 of last 4 drives were 3 and out.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 10:09 amWe're 15-0. You'd think that would be enough for people to trust the coaching staff. This team hasn't give us any reasons to doubt them all year. Enjoy watching one of, if not the best, teams and coaching staffs in school history!

Just exactly the same as last year on offense and defense. The only difference is we have a better kicker this time. If Tommy stays healthy and they play like they did last year, this will be a win. We had a 509-374 edge in total yards. Ran for 7.0 yards per carry. 12.1 yards per pass. MSU left 7 points (two FGs and one XP) on the field last year and played without Julius Davis for the game and Mellott for the entire fourth quarter. Shot selves in the foot on the final drive of regulation that should've at least ended in a FG attempt.
