It’s safe to say that we control our own destiny, but a lot of football be played still.

#2 NDSU lost 24-19
#4 W&M lost 14-6
#5 Holy Cross lost 38-28 (to #24 Harvard)
#11 North Dakota lost 42-21 (to #1 SDSU)
#15 Fordham lost 28-24
#17 New Hampshire lost 54-51
#19 Youngstown State lost 44-41
#23 Villanova lost 31-10
#25 EWU lost 44-36 (to #6 Idaho)

Lots of shakeup in the top 25 this week

Most likely top 3 is:
#1 SDSU
#2 MSU (3)
#3 Idaho (6)

99% NDSU drops. Lots of voters not impressed with NDSU this year. They go to #4 at best. Could be #5. They lost to an unranked team.

Oops. I assumed he was talking about NDSU. UND might not drop much because so many teams lost. Will be a huge rearrangement if the top 25 this week.

So really all we know about the Big Sky is Cal Poly and UNC are bad.

Cats and maybe Idaho are good.

The rest of the league is about even?

Weirdest start to conference play in recent memory.

Good! Let the rest of the conference beat each other up so we have an unobstructed path to a conference title. None of this sharing with teams like Sac that play no one of consequence again.

UND is what I meant. They lost to #1 but lots of others dropped in front of them

Unless you're from Dork Nakota, then it's pronounced Bizen.

Wow hornets get a pic in the end zone to snuff out NAU's potential game winning drive.

Did I miss something? Checking BSC games and stats on espn, noticed that they may be missing some TOP from the CP/UCD game. UCD won the TOP 30:55/26:26. Might just be a communications breakdown between espn and the scorer. I know, maybe just me being annal.

Two weeks in and only MSU and Idaho remain undefeated in the Big Sky. No 8-0 co-champs this year.

NDSU should drop out of the top 5 but remain in the top 10. Next week will be fun listening to podcasts and pollsters trying to justify how they ranked teams 4-15. Assuming: SDSU, MSU, ID locked in at 1.2.3. What a wild start to the season.

I think they will be 4 or 5. MSU and Idaho will jump them, maybe Furman but that’s it.

Agreed. Holy Cross and William & Mary both losing pretty much ensures that NDSU will remain in the Top 5. But I think all we wanted as MSU fans is a scenario for MSU to control its own destiny for a Top 2 seed, and we certainly got it today. That MSU/Idaho game will be absolutely massive.

...if MSU gets past Sacramento State first. That won't be an easy game. And no overlooking Cal Poly, either.

That’s three games away. We have plenty of business to take care of before then. Chickens and hatching. There’s an old saying about that. I’m not sure how it goes because it has counting in it and I’m not good at math.
