Dethman took 3rd in the 400, fourth in the 200 and fourth in the shot put in the Class C meet.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Those results are a good sign. Never seen this young man in person, only pictures and the shot put placing is a great surprise. Reminded me of a former Bobcat also from NE MT in Westby. I believe Les Leninger placed 1st in both the 100 and shot in 1973 or 74.
