I second that. He was just as amazing on the football field as he was on the bball court in high school. However, I do think he is a major contributor to the bball team. He plays a position where you must rebound, pass, shoot, pick, and defend. Jefferson and Moss are supposed to score the big points and then all the points we get from Dissly and Durham are bonuses. Dissly plays a complete game!!

I was happy to see a positive thread about Dissly. I think the players might read these posts, and it cannot be very confidence building to see yourself bashed. It is important for BCN posters to keep that in mind when they decide to go off on a player, since confidence seems to be something this team is struggling with. That being said . . . about the only part of Nick's game that truly frustrates me is when he stands around on the perimeter. I had decided it was the coaches call, but this thread is the first time I have heard a reasonable explanation for it . .. to draw his defender out of the paint. However, I don't think anyone should stand in one place for more than a second or 2, and hopefully they are setting a good screen when they are doing it.
I am hoping to see some new plays today at Cat-Griz. I would have to say my frustration with the coaching is the lack of obvious "plays." If passing the ball around the perimeter and taking a 3 is a play, it is the only obvious one they do. I like it when the player's instincts take over and they move the ball around fast and get it past the defenders. A pretty pass is as satisfying to me as a 3 point shot, I know, passes don't "win" the game. And another thing. . . Why don't we try passing the ball against a full court press. 3 quick passes will break a press better than dribbling it down the court. Oh, but I forgot, we have to run the clock down. Watch Mick grab his coat lapels. STALL.
That being said, I would give away my first born if the Cats won today. LOL. Actually, he is probably going to go to Missoula for college next year, so I guess I probably am. GO CATS!!!!!
