Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this just baout Basketball?
Kramer was told by the selection comitte last fall, after missing the playoffs, that WINS counted the most in selections. Direct quote. So while playing Oklahoma State helps the budget, it kept us out of the playoffs. Hey man, I say play as many cupcake teams as we can, and make the "D-I Money" by hosting home playoff games.
By the way, anyone catch the $165 million donated to Okl. State by an alum? Too bad there are no oil barons in Montana!
BSC Teams schedule one of the weakest...

That is correct. If we would have played Fort Lewis (Team that the Griz played) instead of OK State or Cal Poly, we would have been in the playoffs.bobcatgrad2005 wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this just baout Basketball?

Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

Okay, I have a little bit of insight having worked for the basketball program before. It is really hard to get anyone to come to MSU or UM for that matter. Non conference home games are pretty hard to schedule. Traveling to Montana is more expensive and scheduling an away-home series over two years is also pretty hard. Plus I don't think we are offering schools much money to come our way if any. The Big Sky Conference has a long way to come before we are going to get any recognition on the nation front. I do agree that we need to step up the away games, but because of RPI some big time schools don't want to play us because it brings their RPI down. I would also rather see us lose by twenty to someone like Gonzaga or Univ of Washington then lose by ten to Boise State.
