Al was 1-10 from the field! Brandon Miller was 3-12.
We got outrebounded by almost 2-1! Not going to win many that way. Maybe we should recruit some more 6' tall shooting guards so we can shore that up.
Inside game sucked & we lost the rebound battle 59/31. No wonder why we have to take outside shots.

Coaching? i don't think so. Players? Still too many questions. I don't have the official stats yet, but our big men sucked (and yes, the officiating probably had something to do with that).

FTG!!

Wyoming had a lot of punks, IMO. Of course this perspective was formulated by listening to Kris Attebury. We know he's pro-Bobcat, as he should be. I don't remember many times when MSU's players smart off like a couple of those Wyoming players seemed to do. To me, that's a sign that the coaching is strong. The players have to perform on the court first.

GO CATS!

I am not a Durham fan. I think he should go but I have to say even though we lost this one the players showed some heart to come back and make this somewhat of a game. We were getting blown out at halftime. Good showing guys. I guess this is a reflection of the coach.
One more thought I had is our full court press seems to work well. Since we have a team full of guards we should do it all game long and sub them out a lot.

12 years and counting, what a shame. Another thing I noticed with our teams for a long time is that we never have our big man (usually he isn't quite as skinny as al) out on the perimeter setting screens. Watch at the next game, the biggest guy on the court will not touch 1 defender the entire game. Frustrating! Since I am not a big Durham supporter this may seem a little insensitive but in order to bring in some new life with this program it seems to me that the team would need to do poorly in the conference this year.

Not saying that I don't want them to do good because I truly want everyone to get it going and to win conference. But if they have another bad year, would it seem reasonable to fire Durham? Obviously we like to compare ourselves to other programs, what would the grizzlies do if they returned everyone from a 2nd place team and in the prior 2 years didn't even make the tourney when they had "the only bobcat to have his jersey retired." If he were a coaching genius he would have gotten Jason's teams in the tourney and would have this years team doing much much better.

Orsalak-Wyoming had what Durham refers to as "a fake lead" you know where one team jumps out in front of the other right away in a game. And we only out scored them by 3 points in the second half....

I was watching this game, and especially during the second half it seemed to be a dirty game played by both sides. I was amazed at the number of fouls on both teams. However, it just seemed like the MSU boys weren't playing. I know they can do better than they did.

However, I can't say I was fully disappointed with the results. I was walking around in a shirt with "Cowboy by birth, Bobcat by choice." I still love my brown and gold.
