Swogger threw an ill advised jump ball that Cooper intercepted which led directly to the Huskies beating WSU. Coug fans will never forgive him, but then again Coug fans are idiots. He has a strong arm--I would love to see him as a Bobcat--If the Griz get him, or anybody else, it is our loss.
That foot injury could very well have affected his throwing mechanics - and so he might not be as talented as he once was, which was, perhaps, why he's lost playing time.

Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

After his injury it was much easier to get Timm Rosenbach's(QB coach for WSU..he also recruited Meyer to EWU) recruit into the starting lineup. Swooger was pretty good when he played but Alex Brink was Rosenbach's recruit and favorite...that is the general consensus at WSU. A one year wonder has to be a proved commodity though, similar to Josh Blankenship(three year starter at Tulsa) a few years ago for EWU. Josh hasn't really proved himself...yet.

Interesting...I had forgotten that Meyer was Rosenbach's guy.

I agree with the "proven commodity" thesis...I think it might be doubly true with QB's...lots to learn at a new place.

Again I told you all a few weeks ago I'd be shocked to see him go to MSU. And now its final on that since. His father said Monday YSU is still #1 but he is going to reevaluate his choices end of the week with an announcement within 7 days approximately.

My guess is that the 'Cats were in contact with Rolovich who has 2 years left, expressed some interest in Swogger, but couldn't wait for his decision (which probably wasn't favorable toward MSU because of his family situation). Nevertheless, we may ending playing against him either in the Big Sky or against YSU (in the playoffs).
