gfg...sorry i missed the feces thing...maybe you were exagerating like perhaps the nd folks were...
i think we are going to see more of this kind of thing posted here by griz folks because they can see their program being "haucked"...and they have to denegrate cat fans...it's the sign of an immature fan venting an empty rant toward whoever will listen...
every fan base has an ass or two and every fan base has a whiner or two...just the way it is...as bobcats we will continue to be apologists for our mistakes and police our own...maybe the griz should do the same and keep their "feces" to themselves...

What's "the feces thing"? Funny, this thread was started about an out-of-state fan commenting on the two Montana schools' fans, and the two different experiences. The problem seems to be that State's fans haven't been policing their own, they've been excusing them.couloir41 wrote:gfg...sorry i missed the feces thing...maybe you were exagerating like perhaps the nd folks were...

Interesting that the same fans with "class" were the ones that were booing their own team yesterday as they lost.
By the way this was a letter to the editor in Saturday's chronicle, not that the source makes the message any different.
I would not go into another team's stadium, wearing my own team's colors/insignia, etc and not expect some sort of backlash. It goes with the territory. We are not making excuses for bad behavior we are just acknowledging the fact that not all people will behave the same in given situations.

gfg...so you're the juvenile "hall monitor"...self appointed "cat fan police"...you my misguided little man are in need of a life...why don't you go groom your dingle berries and calm down...from my personal experience there are plenty o' griz fans who could use your services right there in wa-griz toilet bowl...

I was in the mall in Fargo looking at the Roger Maris exhibit with my brother years ago and some local North Dakotans heckled us for no reason and one guy threw an unprovoked punch at my brother. My brother was wearing an MSU sweatshirt, BTW, but that had nothing to do with the punch or the reception we received from these thugs.
I guess this means all North Dakotans are criminals.
Maybe I should have written to the three papers in North Dakota about this incident and how all North Dakotans must be violent?

From your attempts at being the ambassador of what constitutes class to an authoritative figure on MSU fan sportsmanship, is there anything you haven't done in the realm of ethics, congeniality, consideration, etc?GFGriz wrote:Sorry Bozone. Take off your maroon glasses and let the dope filled room clear out before you begin your quest on this subject.

I wonder if this Bison fan's mindset had anything to do with it? Think about it, would he have "noticed" the Cat fan he mentions if the Bison hold on for a win? Doubtful; would have been too excited to know or care.
When they won in Missoula, that's EXACTLY why they didn't "see" anything negative. They just knocked off the 800 lb gorilla and were sky high; not really likely to notice any negative griz fan antics at that point.
And any fan idiotic enough to bash an ENTIRE team's fan base because of a couple jerks (that exist at EVERY stadium in America) should quit going to games completely.

from an outsider looking in I got the opposite result. I have been to both venues now and I believe and felt at Mizzoula there were some bad apples and we got sworn at and heckled and our players even got spit upon. In bozeman we were very amazed that it wasn't even like the grizz. People were nice and sure there were some razzing but every school has a few bad apples and idiots that come with that. I am an ISU fan and I thought MSU fans were alot better.
