Do you really think they are three td's better than Ok State? We win 38-14.
Do you really think nobody is going to score more than 15 points on you all year, and if they do then that makes them better than Ok St?

No, it's just really I don't think Cal Poly will score 38 against us.

Agreed PDX,

At this early point in the season, with the confidence our D will carry into this game, I can't see C/P's offense putting up more than 21. Anymore than that will be due to special teams or Bobcat turnovers...

I've given this a bit of thought:
I think the offensive style of Cal Poly always causes us some gametime adjustments.
So, I do believe they will move the ball between the 30's. But, touchdowns will not come easily.

I predict they score three field goals and one touchdown.

Final score: Bobcats 30, Cal Poly 16

While we did a lot of things right vs. SFA, we made some pretty big "early season" mistakes, also. How often does a team turn the ball over 5 times and rack up over 100 yards in penalties and still blow away their same-division opponent??? Not many.

This Bobcat team is still hungry and knows it needs to tighten up. The crew that shows up at Cal Poly will be on fire. I predict fewer penalties, no more than 2 turnovers and an all around sharp game.

Cal Poly will play us tough and probably put up an early touchdown - but they'll need some luck to get into the endzone again.

We miss one PAT, but get three touchdowns and a field goal.

MSU 23
Cal Poly 14

Cal Poly still has a great Defender (Chris Gocong DE) even with Beck gone. This kid was voted 2nd behind teammate Beck for the Buck Buchanan Award. That was ahead of Cooper and Fosmark of Weber State. So they are not without talent on the Defense. We're just lucky that we have a good OL. Running might be tough however. We'll have to see.

If Gatewood was available (and Miller) i think the score would be much higher, but without those two,

Cats 27 Cal Poly 10

On the road, have to give the advantage to the Mustangs.

Bobcats 28
Cal Poly 24

Lulay leads the 'Cats to a late TD and finally beats Poly in a very well played game by both sides.

Hmmm, well it didn't turn out to to be the 3+ touchdown victory some of you Cats fans were predicting.

Congrats, you kicked our asses all over the field and the Mustangs deserved to win. They should do very well the rest of the season. You will notice that I didn't make a prediction.

BRAG loud and often this week Mustangs & grizzlies. We need to hear that we sucked. Those Bobcats who have already purchased their National Championship rings might want to sell them on eBay because we ain't got what it takes to win a NC this year. So sorry.

I was totally shocked by this game. Thought for sure this was gonna be you guys' year to stop the Stangs. Tough one next week, but you'll still be in it come November.

MSU is still a terrific team. They just need to find a way to rebound. Based upon the way UofM played today I think the Big Sky is still up for grabs. Hopefully MSU can beat the Griz this year. I'm for Cal Poly and who ever is playing UofM.

I agree with Cal Poly Mustang, MSU is a good team and will do well the rest of the season. Cal Poly was just on fire. Good luck to you the rest of the season and win the Big Sky.
