Nope no relation to Kmax, sorry guys, Mlsacat you might know my mom? You in a similar profession?
Anyways I got the news from Green Bay's newspaper, www.greenbaypressgazette.com
Here's a couple paragraphs in an article published yesterday about how the Pack is staying a little quiet on who will actually be starting on Sunday;
--------
There are possibly two other open starting spots on defense: at linebacker, if injured Na’il Diggs can’t play; and at cornerback, where Ahmad Carroll and Joey Thomas have battled for the spot opposite Al Harris.
Nick Barnett is starting at middle linebacker with Paris Lenon on the strong side. If Diggs isn’t recovered from his sprained knee, undrafted rookie Roy Manning or recently acquired Robert Thomas will start on the weak side. Manning would appear to be the more likely candidate to start in the opener because he’s worked in the Packers’ defense all offseason and training camp, whereas Thomas joined the team on Saturday.
Sherman, though, said Diggs took part in some parts of practice Monday and might be available.
Carroll gained a big edge in camp when Thomas missed two weeks of practice and two preseason games because of his injury. Thomas, however, finished with a strong performance in the preseason finale at Tennessee, whereas Carroll picked up two more penalties, so it’s not a given Carroll will be the starter Sunday.
“That’s a decision the coaches have to make,” Thomas said. “All I can do is put my best foot forward and hope that’s enough.”
