Yeah, seeing it in person today-the logo is just right. If it were much bigger it'd be kinda too much. It really looks great!

So awesome!
Like most things, it looks much better in person than in photos. The Cat head logo in photos in reality is smaller than the depiction, but when you see it in person it looks much bigger. Has me wondering of depictions are intentionally done that way. Kind of like seeing things from different angles.

The logo inside also pops when you see it in person. The Holland EZ is like that, too, at least it is for me. I always am slightly surprised at how big it looks in person vs TV/pics.
A lot of the inside photos have made building look small and had me trying to figure out where a track will fit. Then yesterday there is one with a man on the field. It puts the size in perspective.
I’ve written this before. If you put the indoor on the field in Bobcat stadium with one end starting starting up against the Sonny Holland endzone, it would extend halfway through the upper floor of the BAC with a width extending into the grandstands. The building would be slightly taller than the scoreboard.
It would be cool if someone with drone pics shot directly above the indoor and above the stadium could do a little photoshop work and put the indoor and stadium pics together to show what you're talking about.

When I was there on Thursday morning the playing surface was completely covered with a tarp so maybe they started to put down the running track that day. Guessing not though since Memorial weekend was probably starting the next day, but I would think that portion will be going on (getting completed?) this coming week unless it's a much more elaborate process than I'm envisioning.

I'm not sure what we're supposed to take from those pics either. But that's okay. :)

What I think is great is that both teams (FB and T/F) that will primarily be using the facility have their actual playing surfaces and strength/conditioning centers just steps away. And the football team is just steps away from its locker rooms. This is a huge selling point to recruits, and it can't be pointed out enough.

I think what we're looking at is a comparison of the size of the building footprints for the two facilities. MSU's field size is going to be somewhat smaller than the one shown in the picture as they're only going to have an 80-yard field to leave more room for the track.

I was showing the size of the indoor building and balloon compared to the football fields in both stadiums, to give everyone an idea how large the structures are.

Maybe we should tear it down, sell it to gris and build a shell over the whole stadium, of course that would have a retractable roof, which would actually be a video board. Of course we would have to put in recliners to use the new video board on the roof.

Went by today. Nothing eye popping going on. The prep for the track is ongoing. The substance for it is sitting in the parking lot. Looks like about 50? containers. The company (Beynon) appears to have quite a few employees there so maybe it’ll be happening soon.

They’re putting down forms for sidewalks on the east side.

There are three big tubes sticking out of the ground (sent pic to AFCAT) on the south end. Not sure what they’re for. I’m thinking some kind of cover for hammer, javelin, discus throwers/viewers. ???

Putting finishing touches on a lot of different things.

The throwing areas were moved to the triangle area South of the outdoor track. I haven't looked at the plans for a while but I seem to remember a drainage area where those tubes are, but I'm sure some construction person will chime in.

Yup, looks to be in the same spot as the stormwater runoff spot in this plan.

Thanks. Now the only thing that I’m wondering about is if the building will be painted all the same color. The side that catches the most sun is white, which makes sense. The front is light gray with the far left end dark gray. The rest (east and south) are dark gray. It looks good but…
