* 2nd most. Ash still has 70. Might take another year and change to get there.

Sansted’s 13 for 17 percentage is .765, which is seventh best for FGs in a season.
Add the one that bounced the wrong way of the cross bar and where does that put him?
That would kick it up to .823...
He's 14-18 now. 78%. Tied for 6th.

Holland coached for 7 years and most seasons were just 10 game regular seasons and the playoffs were harder to make and didn’t have as many rounds.

Vigen has a much better winning percentage and I’m definitely not trying to take anything away from him. I just wanted to make sure people know that to put it into better perspective.

An article on the Opta Analyst page brought another possible record to the table...punts returned...
Taco has returned 52 punts this season, the most punts returned since 1996 when Montana's Joe Douglass returned 52.

Apparently he is nearing an NCAA record, from Wikipedia:
Most punts returned, season
FBS: 57 – Wes Welker, Texas Tech, 2002
FCS: 55 – Tommy Houk, Murray State, 1980
Div II: 61 – Armin Anderson, UC Davis, 1984
Div III: 48 – Rick Bealer, Lycoming, 1989

I can definitely see NDSU punting 4 times.

No, a fair catch is not a return. Let's hope they still kick to great returners from Billings.

I will get to it eventually….. once I come out of my drunk/severely depressed state of mind…….

Right now celebrating stats records is about the last thing I want to do……. Especially with players like Rohan and Scottre……. They don’t deserve to have their names in the Bobcat record books as far as I’m concerned (or at least that’s how I currently feel in my drunk/depressed state of mind)…. Ha

have we, or for that matter, has amy FCS team had 3 1000 yard rushers in one season besides us in 2024?

MSU did this year. Mellott needed 85, got 135(?). I’m not sure on the other part. I don’t think anyone has ever had four, so likely ties a record of some sort.

well... I'd be lying if I said I'm still not depressed with the final game... but that was one helluva season!

definitely one for the record books:
-3 players with 1,000+ yards rushing on the season.... unbelievable.
-Adam Jones owns the freshman record for rushing yards and TD's in a season..... He is looking to destroy a LOT of records if he can keep this going for 3 more years.
-Tommy- passed Kirk for 3rd all time career rushing.
-Tommy- Tied for 3rd all time 100 yard rushing games, with 16.
-Taco- Tied for 2nd all time recieving TD's in a season, with 11. Now he is just outside the career top 10, which I'm sure he will make a run at.
-Taco- Historic season with punt returns, #1 on the list (both season and career).
-Tommy- 8th most passing yards in a season.
-Tommy- 67.7% completion % this year is the best in school history.
-Tommy- 31 passing TD's in a season, new school record.
-Tommy- 55 career passing TD's, 4th most in school history.
-Sansted- Tied for 2nd most points scored in a season, with 128. This was was HUGE this year.

already looking forward to next season, the future is bright!

Lets make a trip to Nashville next year. Go Cats!!

Thanks again for compiling all this throughout the season. This is a lot of work.

Pretty bittersweet to see how high up Tommy got on these lists. It was fun to see them go up every week, now his position on these lists is cemented in place.

Probably one of the most impressive stats Tommy has is career rushing yardage. Just a little over 200 yards away from being the all time leading rusher in Bobcat history as a QB, and a QB that missed quite a few games due to injury. Remarkable. Hall of Fame career to say the least.
