Sorry to disappoint but I am an "us". A 6'7, 300lb OL playing for even an average FBS school as a backup with average ability and looking for more playing time seems like a fairly safe bet to me. My question is more about how many of our transfers are FBS players in backup positions looking to get more playing time. Seems like a pool with some potential. I'm not a transfer portal fan but feel like FCS teams are going to either live or die by it going forward. Hope I'm wrong.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 2:53 pmOh hey look another "new poster" on signing day who is bringing the Griz in to the conversation (that's two so far today for those counting at home).49thparallel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 2:29 pmI noticed that UM picked up this transfer from Cal. This kid was actually beat out by former Bobcat TJ Session on the Cal line. I also don't think we need any huge reinforcements on our offensive line because our development program is pretty sound. Thanks for thinking of us though.

Re: National Signing Day - Wednesday.
Right now, there is at least one FBS transfer o-lineman the Cats are actively pursuing. You can see his name on the recruiting thread around page 15. I would say that just about every single FBS transfer the Cats get are looking for more playing time.49thparallel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:38 pmSorry to disappoint but I am an "us". I like the blindfold idea. Maybe Reese Bobby could help out Hall.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:31 pmAnybody can get the yip's doing just about anything. Seemed to be contagious in the kicking room this year.
A number of years ago I got the yip's shooting my bow, I spent about 2 weeks shooting at a big target blindfolded, just concentrating on form and feel. When I took the blindfold off I was back on target.

I really think that recruiting rankings should be taken with a grain of salt, even on the FBS level, but that being said, I hope that someone who really
studies recruiting on the FCS level will give us an idea as to how we did in a few days or weeks within the Big Sky Conference and also nationally.

Sellards did not sign with NDSU today. According to their forum he wants to meet with the new coaching staff before making a final decision.

Just quickly glancing at UM’s signees, the qb from Idaho had connections to MSU as his dad use to coach QBs. Just wondered if he had any interests from MSU.

The only thing to remember is all of the Cats signees today were diamonds in the rough and all the local kids signed by UM are really Frontier conference type. players.

Great question, I would assume so because the article has Vigen quotes in it... unless those were just emailed. But I searched around for any videos from today on all the usual sites and couldn't find anything.

Really good looking class and it looks like a few of these players might be able to contribute VERY early in their careers. Who from this group has a legit shot at NOT redshirting in 2024? Remember, with the rule change, these guys can play in 8 game and still red shirt potentially.

Also, dang, how many Steel kids are there? This new one looks like he might be pretty good. 31 touchdowns in one season seems like a lot.

They did a signing day over? That actually shocks me. I was almost positive Bobby was just going to say something (in his smug, arrogant way) like... "Signing day? We'll worry about all that later. We're still playin football over here."jgrilley406 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 6:16 pmJust quickly glancing at UM’s signees, the qb from Idaho had connections to MSU as his dad use to coach QBs. Three more tight ends? We still have Luke Smith, Hunter Provience, Rylan Schlepp, and Ryan Lonergan on the roster. Is Lonergan done, or does he have a year left?
